There are many themes evident in the novella, A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, but what is the most important and strongest theme of all? I believe that the strongest theme is that generosity and kindness usually triumph over selfishness. In case you didn’t know, the story, A Christmas Carol, is about a man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is selfish, rich, but doesn’t care about Christmas and is miserable. Throughout the story, Ebenezer Scrooge gets visited by Three Spirits that show what happened, what is happening, and what will happen. Scrooge learns lessons throughout these visits by the Spirits. As you will see in the following paragraphs, there are many reasons why this theme is the most important and strongest theme of all. One example
