Many of you hear today would argue the point that it is not the baby’s fault, and that it should be allowed to live life to the fullest, but in reality the baby is just an embryo it is not alive, it is not even capable of thought. But if the mother has to have the baby she will experience pain and suffering whereas the baby will feel nothing. What if a girl was raped, and she was forced to go through with the pregnancy to a man who ruined her entire life, to go through nine months of labour and have the feeling of pain everyday to have a child that should never have been born. I feel that refusing a women’s right to have an abortion is extremely sexist. A woman should have the right to remove something that is unwanted in her body, when men disagree it just shows that they have no clue what it is like to have to give birth to something that is not meant to be there.
Today I will be talking to you about how I believe that abortions should be legal at any time of pregnancy. There are many reasons to why abortions should be allowed, but today my 3 main points that I believe are important are: If a women was raped or sexually abused, if the mother to be was under the age of 18 and if the women is mentally ill and if she was to have the baby it could be harmful to it’s health. We need to look at the big picture, are we going to what we think is best for the mother and child’s health and not let abortions be right or are we going to do what is best for the mother and child’s health and let abortions be the right thing to do.
Let me put forward the question to all you women out there that if you were raped or sexually abused and became pregnant because of it, would you want to have a baby to man that did wrong by you? Would you want t...

...ld should have to go through that. Would you have rather her terminate her baby whilst it was still just an egg or have her go through with the pregnancy and have her kill her poor innocent baby, or with the unfit mother who couldn’t handle having a baby and threw her poor baby off a 3 story building.
Should we ban the morning after pill? because that is killing any trace of a baby that may be forming inside the uterus.
I do see where you are all coming from that killing a baby that is breathing and alive inside of you is wrong when you are 20 or more weeks pregnant, but it should not be anyone else’s business nor concern what the mother of the child is doing. If she wants to terminate her baby then let her terminate her baby you have no say on the issue. She should not have to go to a panel of doctors to get the all clear to go ahead with the procedure.
When it comes to abortion I believe that it should always be left up to the woman to make the decision on whether to keep her baby or not. Having a baby is no eas...
An issue that has flared up in today’s society, abortion is a highly debated topic that has sparked some of the most violent discussions. The rapid growth in teenage pregnancy has only increased the amount of attention that has been drawn to abortion and whether it is ethical or not. While some say that a woman is in power of her own body and can make choices based on her best interest, some take much offense to that and demand that a baby is a baby no matter how small it is and that abortion is never okay. It is important to know going into this debate that to argue one side, one would have to be 100% consistent with that decision because of all of the grey areas that come up regarding abortion. With that being said, I still believe that a mother should take responsibility of the situation and recognize that, even though it is minuscule, a baby is a person the moment it begins to develop inside of her.
Abortion is a very controversial topic and when it comes to this issue they should be at happy medium place where everybody could be OK with the idea. I understand both views, which is why I cannot just choose one side over the other because each side have valid points. Each situation is different for each person so we cannot make a decision based on how a group of people feels. In conclusion I believe that only have the right to choose what she feels like is best for her to do, but I also believe in taking accountability and understanding that there 's always going to be a reaction to every action
Abortion has been the biggest controversy of all time. Many people believe that it is morally okay and not murder just because it is legal. Individuals never think about how it would make them feel if someone took away their ability to live, grow, and become someone. They do not envision not being able to have any say in whether or not they want to have a life. Well, babies do not have an option in the womb. If the woman decides to abort her baby, they can do nothing about their life being taken right out of their hands. Their whole future is destroyed with no chances of going back on the mother’s decision. I believe abortion is wrong when having it for a selfish reason. I am arguing that Abortion is wrong, although not to be misguided with ‘Abortion should be prohibited.’ Abortion is wrong in terms of an unplanned pregnancy, disability diagnosis, adolescent pregnancy, or contraceptives and birth control not working right that month.
There are many limitations valued when it comes to the right of abortion. The news media still outlines the pros and cons of anti-abortion rights in certain-states-to soon, the entire country. My perspectives on the issue of abortion have been entitled from it to never be banned among citizen’s rights. The reproduction of pregnancy has been emphasized heavily on a mother’s decision to abort their child, but the father of the child plays an active role since he considers to that particular title. Through this current issue, majority of the people against abortion do not seem to have an open mind to how much it primarily affects the decision of the mother amongst her own views of considering abortion.
Is rape a reason to have an abortion? Many of the viewpoints that I looked at believe that rape shouldn’t be a reason to have an abortion. The baby that is going to become a life shouldn’t be a victim. The life that is growing inside the victim is an innocent child and shouldn’t suffer the same consequences as the victim. On this journey, I agree with pro-life that rape is not a justification to have an abortion. In the words of Andrew Napolitano:
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of a fetus or embryo from the uterus before viability (dictionary.com). Those who disagree with abortion think that this is not right, mid evil and a form of murder. All of those thoughts are correct; abortion is the act of removing a fetus from the protection of the mother’s uterus. However, is it not the duty of the mother to protect her unborn child? In this day in age, we are still allowing this barbaric method of ending a pregnancy to happen despite the many alternatives. If an unexpected pregnancy should occur, abortion should not the only option. There are many reasons why abortion should not be illegal in all parts of the world, and people need to know the options available. Adoption is certainly a strong option in a world wanting for children. Abortion is not a method of birth control and people need to be educated on pregnancy prevention and take on some responsibilities.
Abortion may appear ethical or unethical depending on various viewpoints and circumstances. The fetus is considered a person and bringing it to term may be unethical as the act is considered as murder. In some situations, the mother may require to terminate a pregnancy for her bodily autonomy (Johnston, 2003). In such positions, the resolution to terminate a pregnancy may be argued as the most ethical choice. The mother is also considered to having a reasonable level of ethical responsibility to the fetus, because she did not take enough precaution to ensure avoiding conception (Cline, 2014). The mother’s ethical responsibility to the fetus may not be enough to deprive her choice of abortion; it...
Why should any woman be denied the choice to do what she wants with her own body? Women should have the control to decide what is best for their own body without the interference of the government’s laws. Making abortion legal can save and protect the lives of the pregnant woman and unborn fetus. The abortion procedure can help a woman’s life by saving her from financial stress, difficult responsibilities, risky health concerns, emotional disturbances and it also corresponds with the law . The procedure helps the unborn fetus by preventing an irregular health, emotional, and social development.
In conclusion, women have the right to have abortions and to not have abortions. They have the right because it’s their body and it’s unfair to deny any woman that right without knowing the circumstances or situation. At the end of the women have to do what’s best for them and that unborn child and if they don’t have the necessary tools and lifestyle for them and the baby. Advocates of abortion believe that abortion is seriously wrong but it’s the women’s the decision not theirs, they have the right.
Abortion has been accepted by the United States of America ever since the monumental Roe vs. Wade case in the early 1970’s, but is still a very controversial issue. Many people are for and against abortions. Some people say that the child inside its mother’s womb deserves the opportunity to live, while others believe that a mother has the right to choose whether or not her fetus can live or die. Other advocates for abortion claim that abortion helps keep the threat of overpopulation down. They also say that in many extreme cases, it is in the best interest of the mother and the child that the fetus be aborted. Abortion helps keep the crime rate low, so it should remain legal, they also say.
The actions of getting an abortion is to terminated a pregnancy. Women who are getting an abortion have to do so within the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy. According to The World Health Organization every year there are approximately forty to fifty million abortions, which on average is about one hundred and twenty-five thousand abortions within a day. There are many questions surrounding this issue. For example, why should the government illegalize abortion? Also what justifies some women to get an abortion and what does not? Can a women get an abortion if she was raped or if she could have birth complications that could result in a stillbirth, or death of the mother?
Abortion is an extremely controversial issue and one that is continually on the forefront of debates. Those who oppose the idea (Pro-lifers), thinks it is an act of woman playing “God” who live from who dies. Yet, whether an unborn baby constitutes a normal person is questionable; a pregnant woman, on the other hand, has the undeniable right to choose whether she wants to have a child or not. Therefore, the decision to have an abortion is the personal choice and responsibility of the woman, because prohibiting abortion impedes freedom of choice and endangers the physical and mental health of women.
Let us say a woman really wanted to have a child but then finds out that her health is in jeopardy, then unless the mother wants to try and cheat death with her own life, then the abortion would be morally understandable. Same thing with the baby, unless
