Character is what you are in the dark, being your self when people are not around you or acting out when people are surrounding you. The people you know, the people you try to impress, and the people you want to be with you threw thick and thin. The quote comes in action when ever a person acts different as they would normally would , its like when I meet a new person and I do my best impression to help that person fell welcome in my presents and then after that I go behind his back and make jokes about that person. It's like you seeing a person's true colors when you are no longer beneficial to their life. You see a person's true personality when your no longer involved in their life. When he was staying at his adopted families house for the first time , he cleaned up the area he was sleeping in and tried to leave because he's so used to being forced out houses from when he was a child. Being by his self and being around people in public, he's the same person, Shy and quite. Micheal started to change as he was getting older and living a every day life with his new family including his football team. He protected his mom ever since they went back to the hood to find his real mom. At a football game his adopted mom told him to protect the team like he protects her and ever since that, that's what he did.
