The global industrialization in twentieth century rapidly shaped the human society in political, economical, cultural and other aspect. The idea of machine replacing human beings has been concerned by many scholars and scientists themselves. The definition of human being and the definition of machine ha s been challenged as they gradually become into a non-separated integration. We now have artificial limbs, man-made blood vessels and even micro-chips in our brains. In A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century, a well-known essay published in the late twentieth century, Donna Haraway developed the notion of Cyborg. She states that there is no actual boundary among “human”, “animal”, and “machine”. She defines cyborg as “a cybernetic organism, a hybrid of machine and organism, a creature of social reality as well as a creature of fiction” (Weiss 117). Indeed, machine changed people’ life and it becomes a built-in object in human beings practically and ideologically. To Haraway, we are all cyborgs. On top of that, I consider that cyborg is the collaboration or replacement of one common ideology to the next one. As machine helps human to act and think faster and better, its replacement in our life causes physical, biological and ideological degeneration of human activities. We do not live with machine anymore, we live upon them. In other words, the artificial part in human’s body and mind becomes overwhelming to the natural/organic part. Once the group is settled, it’s the group members themselves who push the wheel of becoming cyborg faster and faster, which imprints the identity on their minds and souls as integrity. Donna Haraway’s 1984 “A Cyborg Manifesto” is an enduring essay unceasingly analyzed, critiqued, and adored by scholars and students. One of the theorists is Donna Haraway and she focuses on the cyborg theory. “The cyborg theory rejects the notions of essentialism, proposing instead a chimeric, monstrous world of fusions between animal and machine.” In Feminist, Queer, Crip chapter 5 analyzes how disability figures into the feminist imagination of the cyborg theory, as described by Haraway, as “guid[ing] us to a more liveable place” ( Kafer 103). This chapter also brings disability studies to focus on feminist cyborg theory by engaging disability studies scholars and activists. Kafer asserts that “although feminist and critical race theories have taken Haraway and other early feminist cyborg theorists to task for how women of colour and people living in the global south are used to illustrate cyborg theory while racism and colonialism remain unexamined, such critical interventions have neglected to consider the implications for how disability is deployed in renderings of cyborgs.” This is considered a theoretical gap and Chapter 3 cross-examines the ways that “disability and disabled people are decontextualized, removed from the realm of the political, and presumed to play no active role in the category breakdowns that animate both the cyborg and the manifesto” (Kafer

If the citizens don’t feel any connection with their country, they may move to find one that they feel closer too. Once found, they may support the country over others, defend it within conversations of politics or just find groups that have the same ideals they do about the country. Life and death represent a dyad; their definitions inherently depend on one another. Simply defined, death is the cessation of life. Similarly, life can be defined as not death; however, not everything not alive is dead. Boniolo and Di Fiore explain this dyadic relationship well, and other authors have cited this interdependency to better define life and death.1-6 The academic literature contains multiple definitions for both terms depending on which discipline or interest group attempts the definition. Nair-Collins provides a thorough discourse on this diversity in terms of death, differentiating between “biological death, death of the person, death of the moral agent, death of the moral patient, legal death, and the commonsense notion of death.”2(p.667,668,675) Through the dyadic relationship, similar groupings could be arrived at for defining life. Haraway’s provocative proposal of envisioning the cyborg as a myth of political identity embodies the search for a code of displacement of "the hierarchical dualisms of naturalized identities" (CM, 175), and thus for the breakdown of the logic of phallogocentrism and of the unity of the Western idealized self.
She discusses science and the creation of cyborgs, for example, biology teaches us that a Cyborg is the combination of human and machine, many examples of this can be found in the medical field by the use of prosthetic limbs. Contemporary science fiction is full of cyborgs - creatures simultaneously animal and machine, which populate worlds ambiguously natural and crafted. Haraway uses the metaphor of cyborg identity to describe ways that things considered natural, like human bodies, are not natural but are constructed by our ideas about them. This is particular related to feminism, since women are often discussed or treated in ways that reduce them to bodies. The concept of the cyborg is a rejection of rigid boundaries, notably those separating "human" from "animal" and "human" from "machine." Cyborg theory contends that technology comprises material extensions of the material human body.

What does it mean to be a cyborg? A cyborg is a being that is both organic and inorganic. Cyborg embodiment can refer to anything that uses technology or biological changes a being. Referring to humans, it is the use of technology for which it enhances or improves one’s normal functions. This term “cyborg” was created by Manfred Clynes and it is a combination of the two words cybernetic and organism . When most people hear the term cyborg the first thing that comes to mind is part robot and part human. This is true in a way, but there is more to it than just artificial enhancements. In society majority of our elders and even younger people use this thing we call medicine in their day to day lives. Each type of medicine has different effects on the body and the user taking it. But by taking these types of body altering substances are we making a cyborg out of ourselves?
