What kind of traits do you find most admirable? In “The Story of the Three Little Pigs”, there are three little pigs and a wolf. The three pigs each build their own house out of materials that they gather. The first pig's house is made of straw, the second furze, and the last, bricks. Then a wolf comes knocking at each of the three pigs doors, successfully breaking the first two pigs' houses down and gobbling up the pigs inside. As the wolf comes to the third pig's house, he is unable to break it down, as the house is made of bricks the pig, then outsmarts the wolf and it is the wolf who ends up being eaten by the Third Little Pig. In this story, Third Little Pig is the most admirable of the Three Little Pigs. First of all, the Third Little Pig is so admirable is because he is very hard working. As the text states, “Please, Man, give me those bricks to build a house with.” This quote proves that the little pig is hard working because building a house with bricks, from the ground up, requires a lot of manual labor. He could have just built his house out of materials that were easier to manipulate, but would create a weaker structure, like hay or straw, but he went the extra mile to create a sturdy house out of solid bricks. As it states in the text, “I will be ready. What time do you mean to go?... Six o’clock... Well, the little pig got up at five, and got the turnips and was home again before six.” This quote proves that the pig is clever because he knew that the wolf was trying to trick him into leaving the safety of his home so that the wolf could then eat him; however, instead of leaving the house with the wolf, the pig was smart enough to leave before the wolf showed up and grabbed the food that the wolf had promised, and was back before the wolf even knew he had been gone.
