Macbeth and the Throne of Blood
In the play “The Tragedy of Macbeth” and the movie Throne of Blood have very comparable characters throughout the plot of both stories. For example, the main character’s Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth from the play Macbeth and the main characters from the movie Throne of Blood, Washizu, Macbeth, and Asaji, Lady Macbeth. These characters are very comparable because of the many conflicts they encounter, for example Macbeth from “The Tragedy of Macbeth”Macbeth and Washizu from Throne of Blood both committed many murders because he want to take the crown eventually killing more men who were subjected to take the throne from him. From this he started to lose his

mind after killing Banquo, he began to believe the witches prophecies telling him he could not be defeated by a man born by a woman and his child will take the throne from many generation. Then Lady Macbeth from “The Tragedy of Macbeth”Macbeth and Asaji from Throne of Blood are very similar also. For example, both character had a very evil personalities because of their interest in killing Banquo and Macduff's family and they both began to break down mentally after the guilt of the murders overwhelmed their minds.
The couples in both the play “The Tragedy of Macbeth”Macbeth and the movie Throne of Blood are very comparable because of the crimes they committed and their personalities.
Macbeth one of the main characters in the story Macbeth is first shown having high respect for duncan, the king. Until he began to receive power by become fist in control of the army, so he began to want more, he wanted to become king. For example, “ Besides, this duncan Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office, that his virtues will plead like angels, trumpet-tongued, against the deep damnation of his taking-off; and pity, like

a naked newbornnew-born babe, striding the blast, or the heaven's cherubin, horsed upon the sightless couriers of the air, shall blow the horrid deed in every eye, that shall drown the wind,” (Applebee, Arthur N. etal 343). Relative to the movie Throne of Blood Washizu was also were respectful towards his king but he became obsessed his the feeling of having unlimited power, which is exactly the same mentality Macbeth had. They both wanted to kill Duncan to become the king of the land a rule. Another example that compares the two character is, “Still it cries, ‘Sleep no more!’ to all the house; ‘Glamis hath murdered sleep, and therefore Cawdor shall sleep no more! Macbeth shall sleep no more,”(353). Both Washizu and Macbeth were losing their minds after they murdered their king because they were not meant to be murdered the were loyal to the king. Both the characters had listened to their wife's, Lady Macbeth and Asaji, to kill the king to take power and the both did it. Another example of the characters similarities would be, “Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff The Thane of Fife. dismiss me. Enough,”(384). Macbeth and Washizu believed in the witches apparitions to make them powerful because no one could kill them because they thought very man was born from a woman, but the witch told them both to beware Macduff because he was not born of a woman. They both took the witches advice as a way to become even more powerful. Lady Macbeth and Asaji are very similar characters because of their personalities and evil ideas. For example their evil minded ideas are shown, “ Infirm of purpose! Give me the daggers. The sleeping and the dead are put but as pictures. ‘Til the eye of childhood that fears a painted devil. If he do bleed, I’ll gild the faces of the grooms withal, for it must seem their guilt,”(353). Lady Macbeth and Asaji came up with the same plan to make Macbeth, or Washizu for Asaji, kill duncan to the throne to become kill, but they wanted Macbeth and Washizu to smear blood over the servants to frame them from the murder of Duncan. Lady Macbeth and Asaji felt the their husbands did not finish the job off right, so they decided to kill the servants themself and by doing this they show the evil side in their personalities by doing whatever it takes to make their husbands kings. Another example of their similarities would be, “Here’s the smell of the blood still. All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little. Oh, oh, oh,”(403). Both Lady Macbeth and Asaji have very evil mind sets but the guilt of killing people had finally caught up with them and they are full of stress and worry that the people are going to find out the true story behind Macbeth and Washizu. The couples in both the movie Throne of Blood and the play Macbeth are very similar as well shown throughout both the movie and the play. For example, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in the play Macbeth, Lady Macbeth shows her dominance in the relationship by wanting to tell Macbeth how to run his man. This is shown in this quote, “Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full of direst cruelty,”(340). In both the couples Lady Macbeth and Asaji wanted to be in control of their husband because they believe in themselves more the the man. Showing one of the most significant piece of evidence proving the similarities between the movie and the play and its characters. Also showing how Lady Macbeth and Asaji’s personalities are evil because they did not even consider themselves not to be looked at as woman but as inconsiderate man with no understanding in throne of the king.
In both the movie Throne of Blood and the story Macbeth main character have a plethora of similarities. Being shown through the movie or story how these character have the same personalities towards each other and as individual. For example Macbeth and Washizu both were defeated because of their selfish characteristics after the witches explained their fates, but no
one's fault can be told no matter the people. Also Lady macbeth and Asaji are very similar characters because of their heartless action to become more powerful along with their husband without using their authority as a man, they wanted to become unsexed to show authority. All in all, between the four characters, the story is the same and their personalities are also very similar by showing very distinct character traits between to characters to create an evil atmosphere around them after them became

In the story of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Macbeth is one of the main characters. At the beginning of the play Macbeth is very loyal and honorable. By the end of the play Macbeth is insane and has no remorse for the sin he commits against the king.
Do you find yourself finding similarities between characters when reading books? Many authors have the same writing style. Consequently, characters of different books or plays may have similar characteristics and may be very similar. Comparing Zeena From, Ethan Frome’s wife, from the novel Ethan Frome written by Edith Wharton, and Elizabeth Proctor, John Proctor’s wife, from the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller relate through their characteristics and relationships which demonstrates how the two stories are alike.
In trying to achieve everything possible, the Macbeths’ tragically lose everything instead. Shakespeare has effectively showed us the consequences of murder and power. The main symbolic signs of blood, murder and guilt throughout the play, gave the changes of the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth efficiently. What once started as a dominating relation and taking decisions together, turned into a relation in which neither Macbeth or Lady Macbeth cared for one another.
lady Macbeth share a lot of similar characteristics, but the main one is their obsession with
“...blood will have blood...”, Macbeth is a well known book written by Shakespeare. In it, a once loyal soldier to the king of Scotland starts to seek a way for him to get the crown for himself. In Macbeth, William Shakespeare uses the imagery of blood to represent the guilt of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth, demonstrating the feeling of guilt has consequences of severe punishments.
The seventeenth-century play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, employs blood as a powerful symbol to amplify the tragic nature of the work. Prior to, and immediately following Duncan’s death, blood magnifies the treachery of Macbeth’s murderous act. Throughout the play, Blood constantly reminds the audience of the ruthless means the Macbeths implement to gain the crown. In the culmination of the play, blood symbolizes the irreconcilable guilt that will haunt the Macbeths for the duration of their lives. Blood’s ubiquitous symbolism emphasizes the constant guilt felt by the Macbeths in their tragic pursuit of the monarchy.
Firstly, he defeats his enemies. Next he is praised by the other soldiers and King Duncan appoints him as the Thane. For example, if a person desires for a manager title, the person will work hard to earn it, and it is possible that other workers will see this and boost the chief individual’s desire. It is from here that the person might think they deserve the title and look for more power. Similarly, Macbeth must have thought somewhere in his mind to be king. In the book Witches’ Caldron: a study of motive in Shakespeare’s Macbeth Dr. K.C. Mathur says that although the witches did prophesy he would be king and even boosted his desire “They did not create the thought of murder of King Duncan. It was Macbeth’s own latent ambition embodying his power drive and seeking affirmation that invites the witches.” (Witches Caldron, 6) Dr. Mathur also says “Macbeth had acquired this status and it is not surprising that he thinks of achieving higher status by being aggressive and domineering. It is this psychological impulse that is projected in his ambition for the crown and not any criminal instinct or latent evil.” (6) There was a negative environment of witches and the association of Lady Macbeth around Macbeth which influenced him to murder. The environment creates a huge part in the play and if he had a good environment it is possible that he would have remained loyal to King
The tragedy of Macbeth opens up with him returning home from a victorious military battle, displaying his honor and excellence. This is, also the first time he is presented with the opportunity for power. His success covered him with glory in defense of the crown. Macbeth is busily basking in his own glory and soaking up credit when Duncan basically steals his spotlight from right over his head, proclaiming Malcolm, Duncan's son, as the heir-apparent. This action also belittles Macbeth's achievement, since the procession of the throne is not necessarily dictated by bloodlines. Duncan is basically announcing that Macbeth, while noble, is inferior to his son Malcolm. This is where Duncan provokes Macbeth to hate him and also points out what Macbeth must do to become King. Duncan even tempts Macbeth, by pronouncing him as the Thane of Cawdor. This gives Macbeth a taste of power and he begins to have a desire for more. This desire or ambition is his fatal flaw. Shakespeare, by using Macbeth as a guide, shows that even the honorable men can fall into the hands of evil just like everyone else. No one is safe from his or her own ambitions of power and success. It is clear that Macbeth ends up a far more brutal and simple...
Macbeth, whom initially was a very reasonable and moral man, could not hold off the lure of ambition. This idea is stated in the following passage: "One of the most significant reasons for the enduring critical interest in Macbeth's character is that he represents humankind's universal propensity to temptation and sin. Macbeth's excessive ambition motivates him to murder Duncan, and once the evil act is accomplished, he sets into motion a series of sinister events that ultimately lead to his downfall." (Scott; 236). Macbeth is told by three witches, in a seemingly random and isolated area, that he will become Thank of Cawdor and eventually king. Only before his ambition overpowers his reasoning does he question their motives. One place this questioning takes place is in the following passage:
... destiny of each holds. Goneril is similar to Lear through the theme of blindness and madness combined together. Regan, on the other hand, is like Lear because they both experienced as ill-fated destiny that their own loved ones committed to them. Lastly, Cordelia is said to be parallel to Lear because of their imperfection as human beings and also their illustration of Christ and Mary in Christian viewpoint. In the end, every characters involve, possess a likeness, whether it is in good or bad way.
In Shakespeare’s tragic play Macbeth, Shakespeare creates the ruthless character Macbeth, who is willing to go beyond any measure in order to attain the power of being king, including murder, deceit, betrayal and overpowering the chain of being. Macbeth was first tempted by the idea of kingship when three witches presented him with their portent of Macbeth becoming the next King of Scotland. Ebullient, Macbeth, immediately informed his wife of the news and they both pondered the thought of having the power to rule all of Scotland. Lady Macbeth, a power seeker herself, promptly schemed a plan to kill King Duncan in order for her and her husband to rule, displaying her ready ambition for power. Macbeth’s thirst for power ate away at his conscience
The three characters, Duncan, Lady Macbeth, and Macbeth exhibit error in judgment in that they cannot distinguish between appearances and reality. This error of judgment leads them to their respective downfalls. This theme is also very relevant in modern society as politicians and business and religious leaders present one face to the public and another to family and friends.
Macbeth could not help but notice how close he was to being king and hinted his ambition to have the title in his letter to Lady Macbeth. He wrote, ³...came missives from the King, who all-hailed me Thane of Cawdor, by which title, before, these weyard sisters saluted me, and referred me to the coming on of time with ŒHail, King that shalt be!² Since the witches had predicted Macbeth gaining Thane of Cawdor, he believed they might be right about him replacing Duncan, as the letter continues, ³This have I thought good to deliver thee, my dearest partner of greatness, that thou mightst not lose the dues of rejoicing by being ignorant of what greatness is promised thee. Lay it to heart, and farewell. (p.35-36)² This passage also portrays Macbeth¹s trust in his wife when he addresses her as, ³...my dearest partner of greatness,...² His trust in Lady Macbeth later allowed her to convince him to murder Duncan. Macbeth believed her when she said, ³We fail? But screw your courage to the sticking place and we¹ll not fail, (p. 42)² which confirmed the deal.
There are many similarities between The Tragedy of Macbeth and Throne of Blood. For example, both stories consist of a character, Macbeth, and Washizu that are
The Shakespearean playwrights Macbeth and Hamlet are both very well-known tragedies. They have many things in common but are different in some ways. Both plays involve greed but the characters are different. There are some characters that have the same qualities such as Hamlet and Malcolm who both killed for revenge. Macbeth and Hamlet are different in character even though they both killed. The tragedies are the same in that many people are killed but the reasons are very different. Macbeths need for power has caused him to lose control while Hamlets need for revenge causes him to lose his own life.
