Becoming culturally sensitive will have it’s perks but it will also have it’s challenges. The government has decided that we can conquer these challenges because we are strong and independent, but some of us will have struggles with this. Some American citizens are racist, hate certain ethnic groups/religions, etc. They think it is okay to beat these people down with words and even some go to the extreme and physically cause harm. This will be a problem because these people’s view have probably been driven into their heads by some people that they respect and it is too late to fix them. America as a whole must try their best to protect these people from harmful wrongdoings and try to get over this problem because we are all equal and live in a free country. One perk that could come from having this is that we will all get to know our peers and neighbors better. For example, when people see a certain group of religious people praying or doing something else they could walk up and ask why they are doing it to get a better understanding of what they believe; instead of calling them vulgar names and running them through the dirt. This would cause more understanding of why and how people do things and we’ll be able to see how diverse America truly is. Although all perks are good, there is one perk that we would really benefit from as a whole. That perk is that we will all have to stand together no matter age, religious beliefs, race, etc. This will allow us as a country to become stronger in decision making and allowing our peers to excel more because we aren’t holding them down. Imagine what we would be like supporting one another and encouraging each other on a daily basis.
