Welfare capitalism is capitalism that is concerned with the social welfare of the worker, and includes such policies as social security, universal healthcare and so much more (Welfare Capitalism, 2016). Many American work for company that don’t service them any benefits. However, welfare capitalism protects the people who work the hardest. By have this welfare capitalism in place many can remained having a job and continue to work. In Addition, our system could benefit by remaining a capitalist system because many employees can get education assistance, union, job training. Welfare capitalism benefits many who wont to go back to school to further their education. In fact, jobs will pay for your education if you work over a certain amount of hours. As a matter of fact, my job will pay up to 5000 a year on education as long as you maintained a C or better, but you have to sign a two-year contract saying you will remain employ with them. The Union protect the employee at all time. The union make sure that every employee is take care of. However, not every employer has the union and larger company usually carrier it. The union have the voice to negotiate wages, safety and job security. For example, the wages are much higher then the one who is none union. The work condition is a lot safer to work. OSHA stand for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. OSHA mission is to prevent injuries that are work related, illness, and death. Since OSHA was created in 1971, occupational deaths in the US have declined by half and injuries by 40% (Occupational Safety & Health Administration, 2012). The union will help with Job security.
