Generally speaking, there are many contradictions towards my claim that minority groups are fundamental to the countries development. At this point, many will probably disagree on the grounds that colleges close doors on the minority students. I know many may think students close doors on themselves. However, all the stereotypes, discrimination attacks, and poor education provided by teachers are factors that lead to reason students do bad in there educational career and as well leads to many school closing there doors for them. Additionally, many employers might want to question whether minority groups unemployment is do to discrimination rather than lack of education or proficiency. Although it is true many minority group workers lack education,
Barker (2014, p.1) suggests that the law may be defined as a rule of human conduct, imposed upon and enforced among the members of society in which laws are inaugurated to ensure that social order continues. As a result, laws ensure that members of society may live and work together in an orderly manner by following the same rules. However, laws have different affects on individual members in society and from this point of view, this essay will focus on how laws in society affect individuals in minority and disadvantaged groups.

Minorities are groups distinct compared to the rest of the population whether by politics, ethnic background, and religious practices, or matters alike. Often, minorities in America are described by race or income. People with lower income usually called a minority or people with little knowledge or subsidiary occupation classification. Many rights activists cover most of the concerns of racial discrimination. Moreover, equal rights, whether in the place of employment, access to efficient education or healthcare, or the rights to vote, are all issues of racial discrimination. Throughout time, minorities are primarily affected.

In today’s economy, it is essential that minorities seek out and embrace these opportunities. It is also important that we all encourage minorities to consider the economic and cultural impact they can have on the diversity of global innovation and that we all support those organizations and individuals that strive to help those brave and savvy enough to pave the way for future generations and businesses. I agree that more minorities should become intellectual scholars because it is important to have more minorities who are intellectual in this so called world of perception fueled intellectual people or better known as potential scholars and intellectuals.
Minority is a broad term that classifies my family and me. This term can mean something bad and something good, depending on who’s perceiving the term. For me, personally it is a little bit of both. Being part of the minority group, it can and has been a barrier in my educational pursuit. However, it does not stop me from trying to reach my goals, it is like a motivation.
...e and prepared for college work. For a student in a black that is majority black and under resourced is highly unlikely to receive an education and graduate on time and won’t be college ready. Unfortunately this scenario happens way too often. Lots of black students do not receive the knowledge that they need to further their education in college and many students that do try to further their education do not end up finishing. Because they missed out on so much information they have a very difficult time doing their work and get the feeling that they need to drop out. It is unfortunate that today, not all students can receive a good education and have a chance a furthering their education and becoming successful. This is why it is necessary that the education system change immediately so that all students can receive an equal opportunity to further their education.
The education system is arguably the most beneficial system in the world; however, it also contains many controversial practices. Proper funding, discrimination, and curriculum are just some of the problems in today’s education system. Everyone has a different opinion about what is best for our children and it is impossible to please everyone. As long as the educational system is in tact, then there will be confusion and debate within the system and its’ administrators. The only thing that can be done is attempting to make it so that everyone will benefit equally, but this is much more difficult than one would assume. I will focus on the aspect of discrimination on minorities within special education and more specifically the following questions: Does the special education system discriminate against minorities? If so, how? What can be done, if anything, to correct or improve this system?
The article, “RACE AND ETHNICITY- CHANGING SYMBOL IS OF DOMINANCE AND HIERARCHY IN THE UNITED STATES” by Karen I. Blu is an exceptional work that clearly expounds on the racial and ethnic groups especially in America. Racial and ethnic groupings are gradually becoming popular in the public arena, in which people are shifting their focus on classifying other people on the basis of racial groupings to rather classifying them on the basis of ethnicity. Moreover, race grouping is slowly submerging into ethnic grouping with Black activism being the role player in this (Blu, 1979). The following is a summary of the aforementioned article in how it relates to racial and ethnic groups and response regarding its views.
Although education can be an escape from poverty, the people of color rarely have access to good schools or education systems.
Women have been discriminated against since the beginning of time, as early as the first people, Adam and Eve. Eve was called the evil one, who ate fruit from the tree of knowledge. Once she had the knowledge to know right from wrong, she chose to do wrong and give the fruit to Adam. Examples like these can be shown all over history books, in stories, tales and legends across the entire world. Women have been subordinate to men in virtually all societies throughout history.
There are many things that stand out in America as we have all come to know it today. Among those that are in the majority there are no worries, and things are typically thought to be very equal and just. Everything is relative, and compared to the past everything is equal and just, but there is a lot of ground that can still be made. There are numerous examples throughout our history of people stating grievances in the cases of women’s rights, African American rights, GLBT issues, and even the unstated privileges white people are given today. America was founded strongly with expressions such as, “all men are created equal” (Jefferson, 1776, p. 5). There are many arguments to be made that this expression was not all people, but all men because those in power are self-interested. Whites still have privileges that would not want to be given up, and disadvantages are given to minority groups in turn. African American, women, and GLBT issues are still very present today, and people are still suffering because of it.
The majority and the minority bring forth change in policy in a democratic society. Majority rule means that, if there were an over whelming amount of support on a issue their voices would be heard by the government. Our government is run on a majority rule. People in our society elect officials and put their faiths in them to make their choices.
Interest groups are private organizations and voluntary associations whose members share certain views and ideology. They work together to shape public policy, or goals of the government. Interest groups try to work within the government structure and use several techniques, such as lobbying, to achieve their goal. These groups spend a great deal of money and put a lot of effort into persuading government officials to support bills or policies they feel would be beneficial. There are two viewpoints on the impact of interest groups. One side views them as factions that are serving their own purpose with disregard to society or community as a whole. On the other side, interest groups serve as a necessary device in democracy and work for the public interest.
When talking about ethnic minorities and white minorities, many people believe that it is the ethnic minorities that are always at a disadvantage. Social mobility can be harder for ethnic minority than it is for white majorities. When talking about the three Major concepts of social mobility we must first start with Horizontal mobility. Horizontal mobility is “the movement of an individual from one social position to another of the same rank”(Schaefer). For example, if a waiter
