Good evening everyone. Hope you are all having a great time. I will try to keep this brief as I am eagerly anticipating that part of the night when the best man humiliates the groom. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Craig, Rebecca’s oldest brother. The middle child Trent, is seat over there. He is going to love me saying that When Rebecca first asked me some weeks ago if I would make a speech today my first thought was WHY? But then as I sat down to put pen to paper and goggled wedding speeches last night, I was overwhelmed by strange feelings of happiness and pride for my baby sister and her big day. I have been sternly warned not to delve into any of her past relationships, her difficult pre- and post-teen attitude and her early problems with Midori. Instead, all I’ll say is that, as I have grown up with her and seen her grow up, she has become a lovely, independent and beautiful woman who is loving, trustworthy and strong. It would however be remiss of me not to comment on a few memorable moments of her life thus far. Having two older brothers growing up Rebecca was subjected to a mild amount of tormenting, all mind you done out of love to make her a stronger person. This however abated somewhat during Rebecca’s, lets say developmental years, when she turned into a girl possessed. If you know what a cat does when it is cornered, it was best just to keep your distance. She was truly physco. Good Time Good Times She did however eventually pop out the other side as Bec, the beautiful woman before us today. During this time and into her early adulthood she did have some male friends which we would be introduced to from time to time. Most didn’t last long however, which I suspect was either to do with Trent and my lam... ... middle of paper ... ...ght Some people need to help somebody When the edge of surrender's in sight Don't you worry It's gonna be alright Cause I'm always ready I won't let you out of my sight. In her life, she has overcame obstacles that most people in life most likely would not overcome such as rape, abuse, and even losing her daughter on Christmas Day. Despite of all she has gone through in her life, she is determine to help people to their lives better.
I’m glad we have Maurice, my mother’s younger brother here today. Ella, her older sister, unfortunately couldn’t make it, but I know the news of my mothers death hit her hard. And I know that she prayed with all her will, for my mother.

The first aspect that Scott created using Rebecca and Isaac is the familial relationship that they possess. These two characters clearly love each other, and to play with the reader’s emotions, Scott created a scene where Isaac says he would rather die than
Before I start I would like to say that Madonna you look absolutely stunning, Erik, well you just look stunned.
Finally, on behalf of the bride and groom I would like to thank everyone for sharing their special day, it is a true millstone - sorry milestone in their lives. On behalf of myself I wish you'd all stayed at home - as things would have been a lot easier on me. I started planning this speech about 5 months ago and I expect you all feel like I've been delivering it equally as long. But now it gives me immense pleasure (not to mention relief) to invite you to all stand and raise your glasses in a toast to John and Angie. To love, laughter and happily ever after. To John and Angie CONGRATULATIONS
now that I am a mother I understand her ways of parenting and thanks to her many lessons
Rebecca West and Virginia Woolf give great significance to the families of their respective main characters in The Return of the Soldier and Jacob’s Room because it gives the reader a greater insight to the formation of and reasoning for both Chris and Jacob’s nature. Each of these characters have multiple families to deal with: Chris has Kitty and Jenny on the one hand, and Margaret on the other, while Jacob deals with his mother and brother as well as his connections to society and academia. The distinctions between each character’s multiple families cause them to behave differently in various situations, and provide reasons for their actions. It is said that we are shaped by our surroundings and molded by our families, and Woolf and West’s male protagonists prove to be no exception to this rule.
