Wealth and Poverty in the World
There should be no rich people as long as there is poverty in the
world.
There are many different views on this statement within Christianity.
Some are against it and say that it is fine to be rich as long as you
five a portion of your money to charity and do not become gluttonous.
But others say that people should share everything they have with one
another and that everyone ought be equal.
'The Tribe' is a Manchester based Christian rock band. They do not
profit from the money they make, but instead use some of the money to
live and the rest they give to charity. They do this so that they feel
that they are not controlled by money. Andy Hawthorne, the main
founder of the band, gave up his successful family business to start
it. He not only gave up his salary, but also his home and car. The
band funds a charity called The Eden Project. The reason Andy gives
for giving up his job and touring schools and other concerts is his
religious and personal aspiration not to be over whelmed by money and
greed.
Andy Hawthorne has a brother, Simon, who now runs the business
himself, who has a view nothing like that of his brother. Simon
Hawthorne believes it is acceptable to be rich if you do not waste the
money and will not be corrupted by it. He too is involved in charity
work supporting less developed countries such as India where he helped
to build a school in a remote part of the country.

I believe the statement, 'there should be no rich people as long as
there is poverty in the world', is wrong. I believe that not everyone
wants to be equal, not just the rich but also the poor. Many people
are content with the life they are living in the middle of nowhere,
with no electricity or sanitary system. I feel that people should
tithe their earnings, give money to charity so that those who live out
a miserable existence can become content with life. I completely
disagree with the Marxist notion that everyone should live equal
lives, I believe everyone is equal before God and not in front of
money. I do see how money can corrupt and that too much off it can be
dangerous, but people become stronger if they can resist temptation.
Probable Causes of Corruption – Different things motivate different people. Some can motivate people to perform beyond expectations and some can lead astray from moral and ethical values.

Many people have different opinions when it comes to dealing with poverty around the world. It is easy for those who live in rich, first world countries to sit back and ignore the problem that is at hand, however it is a better idea to examine the problem and look at possible solutions. Some liberal arguments try to convince people that a world food bank needs to be set up in order to solve the hunger problem on Earth, while others believe that by doing this we are only enabling these poor countries to stay hungry. At first glance, it seems that the obvious and correct way to deal with the situation would be to set up a world food bank. Wouldn’t the rich countries be selfish to not share some of the unneeded wealth that they have acquired? Many groups and organizations have investigated the future impacts of acting in favor or against the poor, and reasoning shows us that certain actions could be devastating. Although it sounds morbid and cruel, setting up a food bank would only bring the world as a whole down.
Poverty is defined as the circumstances or condition in which an individual or community is lacking the fundamental needs for minimum standard of well-being in life, particularly, as a result of a persistent lack of income. One of the constant barriers in the African American community is poverty. Although there have been many attempts to reduce the level of poverty, it is still an underlining issue in our community. Moreover, one of the leading contributions to poverty was the Great Society.
According to Schwartz-Nobel, America will lose as much as 130 billion in future productive capacity for every year that 14.5 American children continue to live in poverty (Koppelman and Goodhart, 2007). Sadly the seriousness of poverty is still often clouded by myths and misunderstandings by society at large. This essay studies the issue of poverty and classism in today's society.
Everyone has his or her own ideas of how wealth should be distributed properly. Some people believe wealth should be left to family, left for public services, or become the property of others. Others believe that people should not have excess wealth, resulting in non-existent class distinctions. An alternative view is that wealth is not distributed; instead, the wealthy continue to grow wealthier while those in poverty can not escape it and fall further into a life of poverty. The beliefs discussed above come from three different writers. Those writers include Andrew Carnegie, Karl Marx, and Robert B. Reich. These writers all have different opinions on how wealth should be distributed properly.
Poverty in Developing and Less Developed Countries The world includes less developed countries and developing countries. Less developed countries are countries considered to be poor and often contain many people who are in absolute poverty. Developing countries are countries like India, which are gaining in wealth. There are two types of poverty within the world.

As developed countries quench their thirsts for petrol, developing countries around the world are left behind, force to watch on without any help from the outside community. Being poor means to be disadvantaged in every single way. It means not being able to support yourself or your family or have the basic necessity to life. Without substantial help for these helpless people then we should be feeling guilty that we are living lives far better than what others are experiencing. Poverty may because by wars, disease or lack of education and infrastructure and the resulting consequences may be hunger, starvation, crime and ultimately death. If poverty is not eradicated then injustice will continue, increasing death tolls and lives.
