60% of our body is made out of liquid and water is one of the most common liquids we know. We need water as humans but what if the water was contaminated and unclean, we would have a lot of diseases that would spread and cause death everywhere and so NASA created a water purification device and its job is basically the process to purify water. One of the main reasons NASA did this is because of their space programs. We could bring as much water out of our atmosphere but it’s not going to last for long because the water will get dirty and unsafe to drink. Water is used for a lot of things and the water cycle does not exist in outer space, so water purification is water cycle, but in a machine. The machine purifies polluted water or any contaminated water.
The world as we know has been polluted, it’s air and water. NASA created a water purification system that could purify used water over and over again. Two of the main things the water purification system does is remove any bacteria and viruses in the water. One of the ways NASA does this is, they would use a device that would release water filled with negatively charged silver atoms. These silver atoms would then hold on to the bacteria and destroy the bacteria. NASA used to have water shipments sent on to the spaceships but they thought they needed to be more eco, so they decided to purify the water. We release such as sweat, tears and urine and the system is able to recycle 95% of the water, but liquids such as urine are harder to recycle. The urine is given chromium dioxide and sulfuric acid to kill microbes and stop chemical reactions from happening that creates odor. In America, they could drink water from their tap water, but in Indonesia, we can never trust that. Water is used in restaurants and restaurants care for their water because they would not want their customers to be contaminated by their water and so they have to make sure their water is pure and safe to drink and use for cooking. We people have been more aware with water and the dangers in water, not living creatures in the water but what is inside the water and we have the human nature to think carefully.
The water purification system has a very big impact in our lives and we appreciate people helping us to keep our water safe and reliable to create a more healthy body and sometimes a meal.

Water is one of the most essential non-renewable natural resources on the Earth. Technically, an un-hydrated human being can live no more than three days. In the United States, people consume water mainly from tap water and bottle water. However, the consumption between these two sources is not even but lean to one side heavily. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, people consume from 240 to over 10000 times more per gallon for bottled water than they usually do for tap water.
