TOP 10 WAYS TO DESTROY ALL THE WATER ON EARTH
Have you ever heard about destroying all the water on the earth? Who is getting affected by destroying water? And the answer is everything in this world. Water resources are used in many ways such as direct consumption, agriculture needs, fisheries, industrial production, environmental protection, and industrial effluents. Water resources are always affected by humans’ because water can be use many ways. In August 2016, Derrick Jensen published an article about, “Top 10 Ways to Destroy All the Water on Earth” at Fair Observer. The purpose of the article is to inform people that building new dams on the oceans, dewatering of great rivers and aquifers, toxification of groundwaters, disposal of plastics and overfishing is adversely affecting the nature and its resources; as well as livestock and human beings.

He appeals to pathos two way- earnest appeal and Sarcastic appeal. The sarcastic appeal is his introduction about Aral Sea, saying that, “some brave souls- an entire culture of them- were able to see past the beauty and food and water supply for locals to the real value beneath. They recognized that this lake was, as they put it, a mistake of nature”. By saying this, author creates emotional image in sarcastic way. His goal is to make reader realize that we are wasting water. Adding to this idea, he is creating negative image of politicians, farmers, and technocrats who thinks that water should use for fuel company.
