Police are supposed to be there to protect and to serve us. Much has been said about blue lives mattering, and they certainly do. However, there is a reason why some people do not trust police officers. It is no secret that many lawmen are made quite bitter by their jobs and this can show in ways which are not only hurtful, but sadistically sardonic and cruel.

There are four Honolulu police officers who, according to Yahoo News, stand accused of humiliating a man by forcing him "to place his mouth on a urinal inside a public restroom." Thankfully, another officer was brave enough to not let this go unchecked and the offending parties are now in quite a bit of trouble over the disgusting matter. Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said of this decision, "Although these officers are presumed innocent, we need an independent agency to investigate exactly what occurred and whether these officers engaged in civil rights abuses. Chief Ballard has promised to transform the Honolulu Police Department from a warrior mentality to a guardian mentality, and this is an approach to community policing that I wholeheartedly support."

All four of the alleged abusers were put on restrictive duty as the investigation moves onwards. The department has confirmed that each of the filthy four "have between three and 16 years of law enforcement experience."

We all know that creepy sexual predators and drug addicts often haunt bathrooms like ghosts and the police were, perhaps, just tired of dealing with such people. While this is understandable, it can not be tolerated on any level.
