Japan, a country that is lack of oil and raw materials, no coal and oil, and the United States was supplying around eighty percents of Japan oil. The Japanese did not want to get control by the United States, they wanted to be a upper class nations and have their own oil supply, so they decided to invade and dominate other weaker nations in south east Asia which had oil supply- China and Dutch East India. The Dutch East India is a place that have great amount of oil and natural resources, the Japanese believed that if they can get the oil supply in Dutch East India, they will no longer controlled by the United States. After the Japanese invaded China, the American public was shocked by the behaviors of the Japanese, the Americans went on a protest for cutting off Japan 's oil supply. After the United States froze the Japanese fund, Japan was not able to buy American oil. This action provoked the Japanese and they decided to attack the United States ' Pearl Harbor, where a concentration place of oil tanks and the United States military. But the Japanese only bombed the United States army, they were not focusing on the oil tanks, because the Japanese wanted the oil, they sent troops to invade Pearl Harbor after the attacks, and trying to conquer the oil. The United States was a strong nation, but the Japanese was dare to fights against a strong nation because of the oil. This shows the oil is very important
Is it true Americans are rightfully notorious for creating inaccurate paradigms of what really happened in historical events Americans are tied to? Has America ever censored historical events in order to protect Americans innocent democratic reputation? After reading, “The Best War Ever” by Michael C.C Adams, I have found the answers to these questions to be yes. Some of the myths that Adams addresses in his book include: 1. America was innocent in world war two and was an ever acting protagonist in the war; 2. World war two or any war for that matter can be, or is a “good war” and bring prosperity to America; 3. War world two brought unity to Americans.
The first underlying cause of WWI was greed. People always want more than what they have. The countries from the Triple Alliance wanted more land, power, or wealth than what they owned. Germany despised Great Britain at the time, because of the number of colonies they had. In Document --, a German cartoonist drew a propaganda poster, claiming "England is the bloodsucker of the world". This appears that Germany is very fearful of England taking control of the world. It also shows that Germany aspires to be as large of a country of Great Britain. Also, in document 16, in the spring of 1914, before the war started,
the Germans for the first time in the war. The Battle of Britain was a
In conclusion, the attack of Japan on the United States, Pearl Harbor, led to great property destruction and even loss of lives. Japan had earlier on deceived the United States of the peace negations. Japanese Ambassadors later termed the negotiation as useless, making them attack the United States. The unexpected attack led President Franklin D. Roosevelt to ask the Congress to declare war on Japan.
The United States became a major threat to Japan. Many people believe the Japanese were successful in their attack. But, the result of the attack did not enable Japan to expand into the Pacific. It did not result in the acquisition of more natural resources.
After that global oil consumption increased and oil became the main source of energy for many countries. The United States government remained very involved in the relations for the oil industry because of its increasing importance to the global economy and its incredible conversion into international power. Foreign policy reflected their interest in the quest for oil and continues even today.
While there was great strategic value for the attack on Pearl Harbor it was an unacceptable affront to American’s. Japan’s greediness for land ended in a mass killing by atomic bombs being dropped on their homeland. The mass killing of American’s in the United States led to an outcry of mass anger towards Japan. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was one of the most atrocious attacks to have ever happened, but ultimately led to the ending of the
War and Peace in the Middle East by Avi Shlaim. In the novel War and Peace In the Middle East, author Avi Shlaim argues that Arab nations have been unable to escape the post-Ottoman syndrome. In particular, he describes how the various powers inside and outside the region have failed to produce peace. While some of Shlaim's arguments hinder the message, I agree with his overall thesis that the Middle East problems were caused and prolonged by the failure of both powers and superpowers to take into account the regional interests of the local states.

Through a lifelong need to accept responsibility for all living things, Robert Ross defines his heroism by keeping faith with his ideals despite the betrayal, despair and tragedy he suffers throughout the course of The Wars by Timothy Findley.
The Battle of Britain started on July 10, 1940 after German air forces flew over Britain, dropping bombs and clashing with opposing British air forces. It is described as one of the main turning points in the war, due to the fact that it caused the Germans to come to a realization that

" Oil is the life blood of our modern industrial society. It fuels the machines and lubricates the wheels of the world’s production. But when that vital resource is out of control, it can destroy marine life and devastate the environment and economy of an entire region…. The plain facts are that the technology of oil-- its extraction, its transport, its refinery and use-- has outpaced laws to control that technology and prevent oil from polluting the environment…" (Max, 1969). Oil in its many forms has become one of the necessities of modern industrial life. Under control, and serving its intended purpose, oil is efficient, versatile, and productive. On the other hand, when oil becomes out of control, it can be one of the most devastating substances in the environment. When spilled in water, it spreads for miles around leaving a black memory behind (Stanley, 1969).
