Two college teammates reunited Monday and enjoyed a taste of Washington D.C. nightlife. One has lived in the region for seven years and loves it here. The other has made his home in Sacramento for the same amount of time and chose loyalty to his adopted city despite the swirling dysfunction at his workplace. In many ways, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are like any other pair of good friends. They text constantly. Laugh at the same silly jokes from when they were teenagers. Talk trash whenever they’re pit against each other. However one thing makes these friends different than most: Wall and Cousins are two NBA superstars on fledgling franchises and yet hold the hopes of entire fan bases with their shared goal of one day playing on the same
some of the best rebounders and defenders in the league. To be a good rebounder and defender, the basketball player either has to be tall, fast, or strong. So, it would make sense that they are good at rebounding and defending because they are tall, fast, and strong. They were both picked in the first round of the NBA draft. It is really hard for a basketball player to get picked in the first round but, that just shows how good they really are. Both of the teams obviously liked the two stars be...

Kobe Bryant vs Michael Jordan? This is a controversial question in the NBA league. Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest basketball players of all time who was approaching or even goes beyond Michael Jordan. Both player are well-known to the world and as well as their basketball skills. As a similarity, both players are playing shooting guard and with similar play-style. I grew up with Kobe Bryant as a personal hero and barely knew who Michael Jordan was, now that I have examined the two players objectively. I concede that Michael Jordan’s skills are superior.
An avid mountain biker, Benedict moved to North Carolina after college, not for a job (he didn't have one), but for the terrain. He met Kristi, an N.C. State graduate, while living in Charlotte.
Last year, Dave met a woman, Denise, who lived three hours away through an online dating website. Their relationship matured and Dave spent more time traveling to Kansas City and spending
The National Basketball Association has gone through a lot to get to what it is today. Today’s league contains thirty teams. These teams are divided into two conferences, the east and west. Fifteen teams are in the east and fifteen teams are in the west. Another way they are divided is there are six divisions that contain five teams each. Two NBA teams the Golden State Warriors, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have battled it out in the finals for the last three years and are the front runners this year(Trenchard, NBA Then and Now). In today’s league, players
In Robert Frost’s poem, “The Mending Wall”, Robert tells a story of two neighbors and that separate them. The speaker of the poem and the neighbor both tend to the wall every spring for repairs. The speaker does not see eye to eye with the neighbor and questions why they even do it. There is no purpose for the wall so why do both of them keep coming out each spring for repairs? The speaker sees no purpose why they keep up the wall at all.

It is easy to pick a favorite player coming from College and going to the NBA. Staying with that one player throughout their whole career is admiring and respect for that individual person. Since I started watching basketball, Michael Jeffery Jordan was my all-time favorite player. Every time I watch, his old basketball videos made me go harder in practice every day. Michael Jordan made me believe I could be somebody in the basketball world. His height wasn’t the tallest or strongest on the court but he had a lot of skills and heart. His basketball IQ and skills made me “Want to be Like Mike”. As I studied all his moves and watched him drop amazing numbers on different NBA teams; However, those were not the only thing that made me love Michael

Two NBA teams the Golden State Warriors, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have battled it out in the finals for the last three years and are the front runners this year(Trenchard NBA Then and Now). In today’s league, players are relying more and more on a three point shot(Segal 14). Players like Stephen Curry are revolutionizing the game of basketball with their shooting talent(Segal 15). This causes players to have to contain a three point shot in their arsenal to even be considered a superstar(Trenchard NBA Then and Now). There are now even more international players in the league today, and many of them show great potential. International players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kristaps Porzingis are just a few examples of rising stars in the game(Segal 79). As of today the NBA is in a phase known as the LeBron era because of how he took the league by storm ever since he arrived.(Segal 22). Right now, guards are being seen as more of the focal point of the team rather than big men(Segal 33). Some of today’s brightest stars include guards like Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Stephen Curry(Segal 10). Last but not least,
When I moved from New York to Texas I left behind the most important thing: love. I had been dating Franky for a year when I up and moved south. It was a really sad parting for us both, but we decided to continue our relationship as long-distance to see how it would work out. However, I knew deep down that it would not last very long. Long-distance relationships are hard, and the chances of them failing are great. Needless to say, the odds were not in our favor and our relationship ended four months afterwards. The causes that led to Franky and I’s failed long-distance relationship were numerous.
More often than not, most of us have probably been to a place wherein we feel uneasy, agitated, or even tensed. We are put into a seemingly uninviting environment that is totally new to us that we can't help but to want to escape from it as soon as we can. Homesickness as some people may call it, some of us tend to long for the things and the people we are accustomed to be surrounded with. But I guess it's just safe to say that this isn't always the case. Every once in a while, we come upon a place that right from that moment of encounter, it seizes our hearts and grabs our attention. A place that we can say instantly makes us feel at home. A place that is so welcoming that our first time to chance upon with it doesn't feel like the first one at all. And luckily for us, Cupertino Center was exactly that – it was able to seize our hearts, grab our attention, and make us feel like we've found home.
