The first thing you have to do is make sure you have clean hair. The natural oils in your hair and the heat from the iron will only fry your hair. If you showered the day before, you don’t have to shower again before straightening it. Plus then it takes more time to either wait for it to dry, or to blow dry it, and you never wanna straighten your hair when it’s wet. If your hair isn’t that clean, then you can use a dry shampoo before you do your hair.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet .” And French toast by any other name would still taste as delicious. The rich, luxuriant breakfast favorite is known by a few handles: Eggy Bread, Pain Perdu, and Gypsy Bread - to name a few. In fact, the term French toast is really a misnomer. Contrary to popular belief, French toast was not a dish created by the French, and in fact was first documented to be on the plates of the Romans as far back as the 4th century, long before French cuisine or France took their places in the world.

Every weekend in high school, my friends and I would have a bonfire, and S’more waffles were the main ingredient at our bonfire. At a point of our bonfire my friends and I would gather around the bonfire pit filling in every nook and cranny and make our S’more waffles. The S’more waffles that we made were from a few ingredients Heresy chocolates, Kraft marshmallows, and Kellogg’s waffles. Using these three brands were our favorite,it was the brand we used growing up, and also these ingredients made the best S’more waffles to satisfy our sweet tooth. They were always soft, gooey, and warm in the inside but crunchy and fluffy on the out side. The S’mores waffles made our mouth water, it had enough chocolate and marshmallows filling for our taste buds but not so much where we would get tummy aches after chowing down the S’more waffles.
Breakfast is my main motivator in the mornings and gives me energy to get ready. It's hard to get up from under my soft blanket, and out of my comfy bed. The only thing that can get me out is hunger, and the promise of food downstairs. In the mornings I'm always so tired, which might have been one of the reasons I couldn't get out of bed. But with a nice breakfast cooking, I am almost ready to start my day.

Inspired by my heritage, I have decided to model the overall atmosphere and architecture of my restaurant on Jalapa, Guatemala; a place I have visited numerous times and hold very dear to my heart. I would like to have authentic and accurate cooking from my family’s place of origin, to assist with the positive vibes brought on by food. Although I haven’t been in recent years I certainly have not forgotten the colorful buildings, kind people, and amazing structures and places I've been to and had the pleasure of witnessing with my own eyes. One such place that I have visited within Guatemala's bounds, is the Tikal national park, home of the great mind-boggling Mayan Temples.
Since the time I was little, I could only picture myself whipping up confectionery goods in the comfort of my own bakery. I made plans to someday travel to France to attend Le Cordon Bleu, a culinary school, to become a pastry chef. My family has been keenly aware of my dreams since before I can remember. My grandfather was a rather successful food scientist who invented many food products to further develop our culinary world. My grandpa has a seemingly endless bank of knowledge that he wants to share and discuss with those around him. Now it seems that he really wants someone who he can share his passion for food science with. Since my interests seem to lie the closest to the field of food science, and since I haven’t chosen a specific major yet, it seems that he has decided that it would be fantastic if I were to follow in his footsteps and become a food scientist. He sends me not-so-subtle hints and chunks of information on food science which tend to frustrate me.
