Wylee is gonna get his hair straightened today. Everyone does something to their hair in the morning right? Whether you put it up, just comb it, curl, braid or just run your fingers through it. Well today I’m going to show you how to straighten hair and take proper care of it so that you don’t damage your hair.
The first thing you have to do is make sure you have clean hair. The natural oils in your hair and the heat from the iron will only fry your hair. If you showered the day before, you don’t have to shower again before straightening it. Plus then it takes more time to either wait for it to dry, or to blow dry it, and you never wanna straighten your hair when it’s wet. If your hair isn’t that clean, then you can use a dry shampoo before you do your hair.
You also need to always protect your hair. One day of good hair isn’t worth the next few months of damaged hair. To protect your hair use heat protection before you start. Spritz some on your hair, then brush it through your hair. The heat protection will protect your hair from the heat that your iron will emit.

If you have thin or fragile hair you should try using a low heat setting to begin with. If you have curly, wavy, or thick hair try using a high heat setting. Then, if your hair is something in between then use a medium heat setting. If your hair damages easily, wait for the iron to heat up completely before you use it other wise you will have to go over it more than once. Also, you shouldn’t exceed the temperature you feel most comfortable with. Don’t try to exceed your comfort zone when dealing with hot objects like the iron, especially with it that close to your face, neck, and ears.
Before starting you should always section your hair. Everyone has naturally layered hair, so if you can try to use those natural layers. You can do however many layers as you want to. You just have to remember to straighten all those

There are many variations of this look but most of them include hairstyles where the sides and back were buzzed short and longer hair was left in the upper section. This hair was sometimes parted, with a middle or side parting) or just brushed back and held in place with product.
To achieve this marvelous hairstyle you are to start with a small curling iron to curl your hair. Then with the help of a backcombing brush create volume at the roots in the back of your head. The next step is to complete the French braid but quite loosely, for doing it you need to begin on one side of the head in the middle back area and to end on the opposite side at the nape of your neck. If you desire you may leave bangs. To give a messier look it is advisable to use a rat tail comb to pull out some pieces thus gently loosen the braid. In case you feel the necessity to place the curls that have fallen out of the braid you may use bobby pins. And finally, apply some light hold finishing spray. It all began my freshman year of high school when I was told about elective classes that would help me decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always had a passion for doing hair, make-up, and nails so that was easy for me to choose an elective. My freshman and sophomore year I decided I would take cosmetology classes. I would spend two hours each day of school in the cosmetology lab, which was always cold and smelled like hairspray, burnt hair from the straighteners or a strong acetone smell that someone gets a whiff of at a nail salon. We learned so much material and I had a good time practicing my skills on manikins and other classmates. One thing I didn’t enjoy was the gossip and drama, but of course one would expect that from a class
...on. Treatments should be applied to the hair as a protector before the chemicals are added because they can apply serious damage to the healthy hair. If the hair isn’t treated properly with several chemicals being added such as relaxers or dye, the hair can easily become dry, brittle, and create many split ends throughout your hair even rising up to the roots. As I was doing my research paper I did experience some difficulties because I didn’t stick with one topic in the cosmetology field like hairstyling, coloring hair, nails, and even trimming of the hair so that caused me to even research harder, but it’s nothing wrong with challenging yourself at times.
The American Heritage dictionary defines cosmetology as “The study of cosmetics and their use.” Cosmetology is more than just hair or nails. It’s a massive world of everything from cosmetics to skin care. Cosmetology opens not just one door, but multiple to other careers in this field of work.
Have you ever changed your hair color? Have you ever changed your hair color by yourself? Most people go to beauty salons, family members or even a friend when they want to change their hair color. If you have dyed your hair before, you most likely know it is not as hard as it may seem, and there is not that big of a difference between spending $77 or more at a beauty hair salon versus $25 or more and doing it yourself. However, if you are one of those individuals who have never dyed their hair by themselves or has never dyed somebody else’s hair, it can be easy when you follow this process.
As the years pass by, many types of hair styles have become increasingly popular; such styles include: permed, straightened, undercut, shaved, and dyed. However, recently, most cuts are extremely difficult or even impossible to do without a cosmetologist. One of the many sections of cosmetology is the cutting, styling, and bleaching of hair.
Keratin doesn’t actually straighten the hair. There are other chemical properties within the treatment that break down the bonds in curly hair and resettle them so the hair is straight and smooth. This is then set using a hair straightener heat to seal it. Chemicals allow the hair to remain straighter for longer.
