The ethics and morals of using virtual reality with medicine have many faces. Ethics is defined as the way we should act towards others; also the justification of right and wrong, in this case a set rules or expectations that are set forth in the medical profession. Let’s look some ethical issues regarding virtual reality and medical treatments. The essence of virtual reality is that it can stimulate reality and it could new possibility.” The person that utilizes it such as a patient has illusion of “being” in the computer-generated environment while interacting with the virtual reality objects that are available to them.” (Botella, Garcia-Palacios,& Banos, 2009) One way that virtual reality can be use is for psychological purposes which can raise several ethical issues. When using this type treatment, the observer or doctor would have to really observe some effects of identifying the distinction between real and virtual worlds. According to Cherry (2014), virtual reality over the years has been used to deliver cognitive behavior therapy which is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence certain types of behaviors. This type treatment is called cyber-therapy. CBT, for short, helps treat phobias, addiction, depression, and anxiety. As technology emerges, unanswered questions still remain. Many ethical issues would be the safety and effective research or treatments use during the early stages of virtual reality developments with thoughts of issues of society that may be affected by this evolution of this technology. In this case, is it right that our minds in some way manipulated to overcome some things we feared the most? Is it a quick fix and for how long? ... ... middle of paper ... ...s this line of inquiry progresses, as new neural-imaging techniques, new technologies like virtual reality come to bear on this problem; we will likely lose certainty about what is right and wrong rather than gain it.” (Tucker, 2009) Evaluating the previous statement, with technology and science emerging, it does not stop society from exploring our own ideas and thoughts but will teach us more as time progresses. Virtual reality is a technology that used in many ways and we will always have our opinions whether it’s good, bad, or indifference, it may be possibly that we would be lean more towards an indifference opinion as time goes on. Given today’s technology and societies different takes on use of new and emerging experiments or treatments, if we as the people see that it’s working for the good of people and enhances life then they are onboard, the morale is up.

The focus of this paper is how three different ethical frameworks could apply to medical human computer
Exposure therapy, which is a cognitive behavioral approach, currently is considered one of the most effective treatments available (Cukor et al., 2009). Rizzo et al., (2010) talks about one such example of exposure therapy is Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET). The object of V...
Ethics refers to the values and customs of a community at a particular point in time. At present, the term ethics is guided by the moral principles that guide our everyday actions. These moral principles guide the researcher into deciding what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. The foundation of medical ethics is governed by two philosophical frameworks: deontology, and utilitarianism. However, ultimately, the ethics committees need to balance the risks, and benefits for the participants and the community associated with the particular research proposal.
The term Virtual Reality (VR) is used by many different people with many meanings. There are some people to whom VR is a specific collection of technologies, that is a Head Mounted Display, Glove Input Device and Audio. Some other people stretch the term to include conventional books, movies or pure fantasy and imagination. However, for purposes of this research, we restrict VR to computer mediated systems. We would define Virtual Reality as a way for humans to visualize, manipulate and interact with computers and extremely complex data.
I should say, in closing, sometimes the virtual world is simply a more appealing residence than the actual world. It can be a pleasant retreat, with all resolutions within grasp, experienced by you, the hero. The question is, at what point should one curb his escapism?

This framework is widely used throughout hospitals and medical schools across the world. It is unique in its regard due to offering a broader sense of medical ethics, covering ethics outside the scope of clinical settings. (UKCEN) This is a major reason why it’s extremely useful when discussing future treatments and potential cures as its focus on biomedical ethics is exemplary. It is important to appreciate the difference between the terms “medical ethics” and “biomedical ethics”.
Although still in its, infancy, virtual reality will have a substantial effect on our future way of life. Virtual reality already has made astounding progress in the world of commercial design, and it is predicted to have a tremendous impact on everyday life as well. Virtual reality, when more available, will have various uses ranging from recreation to basic communication. The applications of virtual reality into different fields of occupations and research will have both positive and negative effects on our society.
In today’s society, there are many people who are looking for other people who have same identities or thoughts. In the VR, it is easier to find them and they don’t have to step any process to become a couple or have sex. However, there are obviously negative parts that affect on people too. For example, what if they are addicted to the VR and are afraid of being outside.
That is what Linden Lab started to probe when in 2003 they have launched an
Augmented reality (AR) is the virtual object which is combination of 3D real environment in the real time. It is more interactive either with graphics or audio enhancing from what we can sense such smell, hear, see or feel it. In other words, it is duplicate the environment around the world in computer. There are applications in various areas in augmented reality and one of them is medical visualization more domain for augmented reality. The topic that discussed is augmented reality application in computer aided surgery and medicine. In research article (Tobias Sielhorst, Marco Feuerstein & Nassir Navab, 2008) medical augmented reality takes it motivation from the need of visualizing medical data and the patient within the same physical space. The reason for chose this topic because it is because this application more advance and the technologies always bring new visualization and interaction using augmented reality in 3D in surgery performing requirements. So, discussing these topics actually need many evaluations to perceive the result to the area of surgery and medicine in medical performance.
If you are one of those who are still hesitant in getting into the whole Virtual Reality mania then it’s time to let go and join in the fun! As you now know virtual reality is not just a tool for enjoyment but also can be used for education and learning in ways we never could have
Science and Technology are not pursued to improve the moral values of man and as such will be perpetually in disagreement. Humanity will never cease to create new technologies and learn about the universe through scientific methods. A person's values on the other hand are not actively augmented and will suffer. Society is in need of a refreshing of ethics that stays on par with the development of man's other creations.
Virtual reality usually used to describe some collection of technology devices that has abilities to communicate interface based on interactive using the 3D visualization and suitable to collect the databases with the natural skills and senses like a single real but in different inputs are provided. For example, 3D visualization from the computer have been to display all the data gloves using one or more position while can help to head mounted will displays and then an instrumented clothing like suits and gloves is less than 20% of virtual reality application in medical are used in the immersive equipment, however an attention and behavior of sciences know where immersive devices can detect more than 50% application. It is can explore and explain how far the advantages and what is the great advances in human computer interface allow the user to interact with technologies, (Rubino et al, 2003). Besides that, virtual reality also has been to represent of virtual object with human senses while identical to their natural counterpart. These medical technologies were become more information based and it will be help to represent a patient with higher fidelity to a point and that can detect any an images such maybe a surrogate for the patient or called any of the medical avatar. For example, some of the more great effectiveness technologies in virtual reality system looks like a real part of the body or that avatar can interact with external devices like surgical instruments, (Jones,2003). In addition, virtual reality has provides a new version of human computer interaction paradigm especially in clinical specialists the ultimate goal. That will be to simply external observe of images on a computer- generated three dimensional virtual wo...
