Ethnicity affecting social status plays a huge role in the novel "Underground To Canada" as readers contrast qualities that affect social status such as the bias mentality toward different ethnicity, accessibility, and respect.

Bias ethnicity mentality, is a trait that mostly everyone no matter what race Possessed. The novel demonstrates this frequently, in the time of slavery.
