My Las Vegas Trip Day One: My family and I are getting ready to get on the airplane to go to Las Vegas, Nevada for our family vacation. We will be gone for a total of a week. We will be going all around Las Vegas. But right now, I’m about to board my first plane heading out of Jacksonville airport. We are going to be flying in first class which will be very nice for my first time in a plane. The plane is departing at 6:20 in the morning, so we can get to Las Vegas early and get checked into our hotel. We just arrived at Las Vegas! The flight was great, and now we are going to the hotel, the Venetian hotel. It is a five-star hotel on the strip of Las Vegas. It is amazing! It even has a little river flowing through it, and you can get a gondola …show more content…
My Mom and Dad have already gone to the grand canyon and they said that it was a breathtaking experience. I can’t wait to go! We are getting a tour of the grand canyon and we will go back to the hotel after dinner. Our tour guide was very insightful and gave us a lot of information regarding the canyon. He told us that “The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River is a mile-deep canyon (1.6 km) that bisects the park” (Grand Info Page). The tour took all day, and the tour guide took us all around the canyon and he told us that this is and all day trip because “Even though the average distance across the canyon is only 10 miles/ 16 km, it takes 5 hours to drive the 215 miles / 346 km between the park's South Rim Village and the North Rim Village” (Grand Info Page). The trip was truly an amazing experience for me. At the end of the day, my family and I ate in the park at a place called Yavapai Lodge Restaurant. It was fantastic. I had the rotisserie half chicken. When we got back to the hotel, I fell right to sleep because that was a long day for …show more content…
I said that I wanted to go see the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign” and the “Paris Las Vegas”. My sister wanted to walk up and down the strip of Las Vegas, so we start to walk to the Las Vegas Sign first and then to the Paris, Las Vegas as we went around the strip. The sign was really cool to see in person. I was surprised that there were not many people waiting to get a picture of the sign because in Key West, Florida, the southernmost point marker had a line of at least fifteen people waiting to get a picture. After we went to the sign, we started to head toward Paris, Las Vegas. We went and saw the mini eiffel tower. The atmosphere of Paris, Las Vegas is awesome! We passed by some people and asked them what their favorite part of this area is and a guy named Josh said “This hotel is my favorite to walk through as the ceiling looks like the sky and all the shops look like you’re walking through downtown Paris. So fun to walk through and look around” (Vegas Paris). After talking to Josh, we went and saw the hotel. It was incredible! The entire thing looks like they what I imagined France to be! It was unbelievable that someone could actually make this look like a place on the other side of the world! Once we left the hotel, we went to the mini eiffel tower. It was really neat. My family and I got the “Special: Daytime Combo Daytime ride for the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas and The High
Zig-zag, back and forth, down, down, down, Jonathon, Dad, and I went into a mysterious new world. Now that I have gone into this hot, dry canyon surrounded by monstrous hoodoos, I have seen what it is really like to leave the small town of Seymour, and emerge into the greatness of this world. I have now seen several other National Parks on one of the most renowned places on earth for mysterious creations, the Colorado Plateau. Of all the beautiful places on it, even the Grand Canyon, I have found my favorite one. Bryce Canyon National Park. I thought it was amazing, because it was the most diverse to anything I have ever seen before. We hiked down into it and I felt like I was surrounded by skyscrapers. We trekked around a little, but we didn’t
This seemingly boring process came to fruition in one of the most beloved National Parks in the United States of America. The Grand Canyon National Park is located in the state of Arizona. It is over 270 miles long and, at some points, is up to 18 miles wide and deep (History.com Staff). Its deep walls help provide a geologic history of the earth, because the many layers contain artifacts and information about the climate at the time (History.com Staff).
After two days of doing reservations for the hotel, and the other activities mentioned above, we realized our trip was closer than what we thought! On a chilled afternoon we headed to our destination the sun was going down the horizon with a beautiful sky combined with orange and yellow colors, it looked
I wonder if I should I start calling Las Vegas, Nevada home now. I’ve traveled back and forth from California to Las Vegas since I was a child. I can remember at the age of thirteen my family and I would take family weekend trips very often. By the age of seventeen I was forced to move to Vegas for 6 months right before my senior year of high school started. Since it was my last year of high school my parents decided to let me go back to California for the last three months and graduate with my friends. Since I wasn’t eighteen yet, I forced to go back to Las Vegas right the day after graduation.
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
We finally arrived there. We got there just in time for sunset. So we paid to get in and drove to one of the viewing points. We all got bundled up because it was on 29 degrees. We walked over to the railing that overlooked the canyon. We all stood there watching the sunset and taking pictures.

It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. As we walk into our hotel, it was like walking into an expensive apartment. With its very own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a patio to top it all
I can still remember how excited I was before take off, I mean it felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Just all the anticipation that was inside of me had just made the wait even longer for me. Finally, I heard the pilot say 'prepare for take off'. When I heard those words I was so overjoyed I could hardly contain myself. That rush I got once the plane took off was an experience like no other. The plane ride was about hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Little did I know, that was less than half of the fun I was going to have at Orlando.
There is nothing quite like traveling, going someplace new and finding out more about the world and yourself. Anyone can become a traveler it just takes a little bit of faith and courage. Traveling across the world or even across the country is a learning experience. When you are a traveler you see how people live and how different cultures work. It is the best educational experience you could give yourself. You see how the world works in a way no one can teach you. Seeing different cultures and people help build the person you want to be. If you are a traveler the world influences you, because when traveling, you see the good and the bad, and you learn from the right and the wrong. I am very lucky that I am able to be a traveler and see this

On my voyage I will be accompanied by my boyfriend, Damian, and my younger sister, Taylor. Before we can begin our journey we have to do the proper research so our trip will be everything we want it to be.
