Transportation
Transportation may be a considerable expense depending on where you live, need to go and your options. Most of us have a car, so that is where we start looking.
Lowering gas consumption may start by altering driving style:
• Slow down when you drive, avoid fast accelerations and keep a steady pace.

Food is not just nourishment for the body, but also associated with enjoyment, pleasure and well-being. When we eat what we like, our body releases dopamine so we experience pleasure and well-being, relax and experience mental tranquility.
We are naturally geared to eat more than we need. Appropriate when we were living in the Stone Age and never knew when it would be possible to find enough food again, but certainly not as useful in today's society. The concept by nature is eating until not being able to squeeze a bit more down rather than eating until you are no longer
On the other end of the spectrum Woolworths prides itself on ‘value for money’ therefore its pricing structure is very dynamic and can vary from store to store and economic determinants. Woolworths recognises the need to participate in ‘price’ to stay competitive and employ the strategy of ‘KVI’. ‘Woolworths will conduct weekly basket checks against the price of its competitors ensuring that prices remain competitive on items that are relevant to that week or month and to flag products that erode value over time’ (3.2.13 KHAN. Food influences us in many ways. These ways include food as nutrition, how we see nature, in our culture, it is a social good, it is a source of inspiration in an artful way, food is a primordial desire, and food influences our spirituality. Food is a substance that derives from the environment in the form of plants, animals, or water. The primary function of food is to provide nourishment to an organism. It is a basic necessity that all humans want and need in order to live. Food has an intrinsic value separate from its instrumental value to satisfy human needs. Food has a significant impact on a culture. Each society determines what is food, what is acceptable to eat, and when certain things are consumed. Food is the object of hunger
Let’s begin with MY definition of food and how it’s evolved over the course of my life. As far back as I can remember it was the best thing in the world because it filled my belly and calmed my nerves. Much like the cases of almost everyone else who eats it, right? Well, the problem being is that I over-indulged and took in more than my fair share. When I was young, I could eat as much as a full grown man, which in itself is surprising to say the

The savory taste of the food from McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, and many other fast food restaurants entices millions of Americans to visit one of these restaurants every day. What is it in fast food that attracts so many customers every day? According to “Why Does Fast Food Taste So Good?” by Sarah Clark, “the food contains just the right mixture of fat, sugar and salt to set off the pleasure chemicals in the brain”. Furthermore Clark found that this mixture can be addictive because of the release of dopamine into the body. This happy feeling, caused by the dopamine release, is believed to cause people to become physically addicted to fast food. A study done on rats using the same fat, sugar, and salt content showed addictive behaviors because when the scientists stopped giving the rats the mixture they exhibited withdrawal characteristics. Scientists noticed common behaviors of withdrawal such as chattering of teeth and anxiousness. The researchers also noticed long lasting changes in brain chemistry of rats ...
... (I never get tired of eating it). As a human I find food tasting better when I am hungry. In addition, I must admit I am a picky eater, which sometimes prevents my mom from cooking different types of food. Possibly the best thing about being an eater is that you avoid the difficulties of preparing the meal, especially when you are known to cause messes in the kitchen.
Eating has taken its toll on people who live in the United States. One of the largest problems that people have is deciding how much to eat and what is healthy to eat. It was determined in the 1930s-1940s that the brain has a tremendous impact in controlling our eating habits. The main part of the brain, which controls this, is the hypothalamus. Basically, the hypothalamus measures different levels through out the body, especially in the stomach, to determine if our body needs food, which causes the sensation of hunger.

Essentially, you need high brain capacity (a large brain) to remember food that are ok to eat, and where to find them. He also addresses how humans have developed a small gut compared to the statistically expected size. The one theory is that small guts means more saved energy that is used by our large brains. The small gut and large brain caused a need for “volumetrically concentrated, high-quality foods”, which was provided by animal protein and led to the current over-consumption of meats. He also states that some anthropologists theorize that the development of cooking made inedible foods preferable, and led to smaller teeth and smaller intestinal tracks.
The author explains that the amount of pleasure by eating and drinking is not as great as it seems (25). Based on this, the author believes that we should spend more time on other things that gives us pleasure and pay less attention to food. There are two different points of view in this article that support the argument that eating and drinking brings pleasure to people. The quantitative strand states that the amount of pleasure produced by eating and drinking are often over exaggerated. The qualitative strand states that the feeling of pleasure gotten from eating and drinking is not as great than the kind produced from other experiences.
