New characters get introduced and any one of them could become a suspect. It is also well written in the sense that is feel lighthearted even-though the characters are undergoing a major tragedy. The main character, though very hyper-active, keep a very level head through the entire ordeal, and empathizes with everyone. This is inspiring to me because as a reader I feel that I can apply this to my life as well. Jennifer, the main character, did go through another traumatic life experience in the book that I feel the author could have elaborated on a little more. I was intrigued when reading about this event and it is mentioned throughout the book, but the author never gives details on what happened. I think this would have been a good back story of the main character. The story is filled with chaos, as it rightly should be considering that it is a mystery, but towards the end I would have liked the pace of the book to be calmer and also to see more emotion between the characters. I rate this book 3 out of 4
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
The ending of this book was a cliffhanger. In my opinion that is the worse kind of ending, but that’s how that writing persuades the reader to get the next book in the series. Without giving too much away about the end of the story, it was very unexpected. To be
This book is a very interesting read, if you have some self discipline. I mean that you need some self discipline because this book didn’t really captivate me in the sense that I couldn’t put it down. But after reading it for a while, I started to appreciate the author’s way of describing the characters and actions in this book.
This book was brilliant. There were moments that made me laugh, moments that made me tremble in my chair, moments that made me cry, moments that melted my heart, and moments that made me want to rip my hair out at the roots. This book has it all, and it delivers it through a cold but much needed message.
I did not like the ending of the story. I found that the ending was very predictable and anticlimactic, especially when all the tension was being built up throughout the rest of the book. When I was nearing the end of the book I was already starting to envision the ending of the book and when I got to the end I was disappointed to see that I was correct. I would have preferred if the ending was more of a cliff-hanger and ended completely different than anyone would have expected.
The ending of the novel was inspiring. The author suggests the reader to look into great novels, and even supplies a list of novels a personally suggests. He ended with a very ...
As society modernizes, and the division of labor increases, individuals have a weakened sense of community and therefor a weakened restriction of behavior. In the movie, Jennifer started to express her own views and beliefs. She sought to satisfy her own wants. People in the community started to follow her footsteps. They felt a lack of restraint to satisfy their own wants. As more and more people decided to stray away from the norm, eventually everyone did because there was no longer a sense of community holding together the normal belief system.
I think my favorite thing about this novel was the realistic ending. Some books try to just give you a fairy tale but this book had an ending that mad you think in the end if I was in the same position would I do the same thing. I didn’t like the fact that the novel portrayed mental illness in a way to say that it needed to be hidden and protected. I thought this novel was very believable for the time period that it was set in. I think the ending to this novel was perfect it was an accurate ending to this
I thought that It showed a lot of courage when charlie's dad went over to help defend the Lu family from the drunk townsmen who were beating jefferies farther. This was mainly because it would of been an uncomfortable position for charlie's father because he is defending the vietnamese which for everyone else in the town is wrong because of the war going on in vietnam and since lots of husbands, sons and men have gone to war against them even though the Lu family hadn't done anything wrong it's just because of their race. This has showed me how important it is to stick up for others no matter what everyone else is saying or their race or anything because a lot of the time like in this situation Mr Lu was getting beaten and his wife get hit and his son was getting bullied just because of their race even though they were perfectly nice and friendly people. Another thing this novel taught me was that if you work hard and don't give up even when someone tells you too, don't because in the end if you work the hardest it will always pay off. This was demonstrated when Jefferies played cricket and would practice so much and when he finally made the team it turned out he was actually the best player on the team and got them a lot of runs and
The author did a great job on using the story to show what happened to her when she had the same problem. With her writing the story about events
Some may consider this book bias, but I consider this book to be a true well written story of a woman who struggled and who never gave up. A story that actually used her diary entry that was implemented into the chapters. The author gave the reader the opportunity to see how hard her life was and how she withstood all that came at her, in a way this book an inspiration not only for women but rather to all of us.
The ending of the book is so much more different than I thought it would have been. I thought the characters were going to like happily ever after and they did not. A smart writer throws loopholes and twists into his or her writing to keep the story interesting. When I think of love stories I think of happy endings. This story came to me as a surprise. It was not a happy ending and I was very sad at the end. The author knows how to control people’s emotions and can easily change them. Now I know that a piece does not have to be what someone might expect to be thought of as “good writing”. A piece can change up the rules of writing and still be considered “good writing”.
book I was greatly troubled by its ending. I can see why it is an excellent novel, but at
