1) Nora Helmer: Played by Meli Grant (Scandal)
a. Nora Helmer is a devoted wife, so devoted that she is willing to live a lie, for eight years, to keep her husband happy. Much like the Scandal character, Meli Grant. Both are women who love their husbands so much that they are willing to do anything for them, even if their husbands can’t see their love. But both women eventually have become feed up with their husbands’ ungratefulness and leave them.
2) Torvald Helmer: Played by early series Fitzgerald Grant III (Scandal)
a. Torvald Helmer is a very task oriented man. He loves his family, but sees his wife as more of an object than a spouse. Refers to his wife as “my little lark.” Both Grant and Torvald undervalue their strong wives until it is too late. a. Both Men are diagnosed with a terminal illness (cancer), yet both men refuse to allow the disease to get the best of them. They ultimately complete items on their bucket list (Dr. Rank- confessing his love for Nora.)

4) Mrs. Linde: Played by Abby Whelan (Scandal)
a. Both women begin as helpers, but ultimately find their personal callings. Both women are screwed over by their previous husbands; Abby was abused, while Mrs. Linde was left high and dry after the death of her husband. But both women soon, impacted the lives of a friend and eventually found their calling/what they had been long for. Mrs. Linde could become a mother and reunite with an old lover. Abby gains power.
5) Nils Krogstad: Played by the Great and Powerful Oz (Wizard of Oz)
a. Both men, seem to have some sort of power over a select group of people, but the power is truly inside of the person who feels powerless. Over the course of each paly the men can see that tricking/ blackmailing people is wrong, and can accept who they truly are. Also both men try to be intimidating.
