Thor (2011) will keep you on the edge of your seat
In Norse mythology, the deities fight not for their own gain, but rather for the dream of a new world to come, it always reflects humanity influences such as using powers wisely, jealousy, humility, sacrifice to audiences. From my point of view, the series of Thor is one of the most impressive, one of the worthiest big-budget, CGI-laden blockbuster from Marvel Studios, which laid on the foundation of Norse mythology. Not only does Thor(2011) work as an exciting summer movie, it also contains a surprisingly deep and complex story conveying many ethics lessons about leadership and using powers wisely. Thus, critiquing Thor (releasing on May 6th, 2011), a blockbuster directed by Kenneth Branagh is of considerable importance. Thor (2011), a story about an arrogant deity fighting over Jotunheim for Asgard’s and Earth’s peace, was tempered its sweeping intense scope with wit, humor and touching moments.
Despite the fact Thor is rated PG-13, there is no reference or profanity, fighting, betraying scenes are heavily stylized. Thor is adequate for an animated film for children, because the movie, overall, clearly conveys a meaningful moral

From the start, Thor arms in the opposite of evil, he is swift in defense of his friends and those whom he has sworn to protect. After his banishment from Asgard, he understands about wisdom in leadership, sacrifices, the importance of his decisions and maintaining peace between Jotuheim and Asgard. He sacrifices his life to the safety of the people. His character traits were portrayed the same way as Iron Man- who appears to be selfish, proud yet, in the end, he decided to devote his own life to save the Earth as Thor confront the killing machine sent by Loki without any godly
The representations of Thor has definitely changed over the past years because of the way people have thought and imagined about the “Thor scenes” in the Greek mythology to create a movie or cartoon for readers. Some representations have been kept and some have been varied, such as the outfit, powers and friends. During the years of people have created multiple movies of the same concept and have added more characters or changed some bits. In the extract of Snorra Edda it reveals that Thor wants to prove that he is powerful and worthy, he comes with the giant Hymer to find his own bait but ends up being arrogant and aggressive because the Midgard Serpant had made him angry. He cannot control his anger and slashes out. Meanwhile as, in the film
Thor wants to return home but believes he cannot because Loki said he was banished and that he had killed their father. After Thor doubts his return home the gatekeeper opens the portal for him to return home. At the end of Thor Loki also gets an opportunity to live, even though he tried tricking Thor into believing he could not return home because he killed their father. After Thor and Loki have their brother battle in Asgard they almost fall of the bridge, but, Thor holds on tight with Loki hanging from them. Odin awakes from his rest and grabs Thor’s arm, but, just as he is pulling them up Loki feels he is now unworthy and Let's go of Thor and falls off. He becomes the leader of his people, the Frost Giants.
A combined example of these two aspects can be seen in the Avengers: Age of Ultron directed by Joss Whedon. Thor, Norse
Thor (Þórr), also known as Þunor, ðunor, Donar, Thunar, and Þunraz was the son of Odin and was known as the thunder god. Thor was the strongest god and wielded the hammer, Mjölnir. The symbol of Thor is the hammer, most commonly worn during the period of Norse Christianization as a form of defiance. The day of the Week, Thursday, is named after this god, Thor's Day.
Loki is known as the trickster god of Norse mythology and is even said to be one of the first anti-heroes. He is also probably one of the most well-known tricksters as well. In the Norse myths, he is often portrayed as being very mischievous and is always causing trouble for the gods. In fact, “he was so outrageously mischievous that he even sneaked his way into becoming a god” (Allen, and Saunders, par. 1). However, even though he almost always seems to be getting the gods into some kind of trouble, he also helps them at times in an attempt to get them out of their predicaments…even if those predicaments are his own fault to begin with.
Thor is a war god that was widely worshipped throughout Scandinavia. He is the protector of the the realm of the gods, riding through the heavens on a chariot harnessed to two he-goats, bringing thunder and lighting with him. His strength is unmatched; he even has a belt that doubles his power. His actions in the gods’ realm was similar to that of the ones he carried out on the mortal plane; he would often be called upon by those in need of protection. (Norse Mythology for Smart People.)
True to the namesake of the film, Thor is the protagonist. The biggest change Thor faces in this film is that he now a clean-shaven blonde instead of a bearded red-head. Aside from physical appearances, Thor’s personality as a god is similar to the Thor in Norse mythology. As exemplified in the Lay of Thrym, Thor travels to Jotunheim with Loki and several other gods, although this time he is not dressed as a woman and he carries Mjolnir with him. In the film, Loki appears to act as a voice of reason by attempting to deescalate Thor’s impending anger towards the Giants recent trespassing into Asgard. Despite there being a supposed truce between Laufey, leader of the Giants, and Odin, Thor does not condone the Giant’s actions and wishes to wage war. This parallels Loki’s sentiments at the end of Lokasenna where he states, “I will go outside for you alone, because I know that you will fight [or kill]” (Acker 180), demonstrating Thor’s impulsiveness and perceived violent
This reflective essay will lay emphasis on one of the learning needs I have developed during my two week taster placement in hospital. Reflection helps an individual build upon their skills and makes room for self-criticism as he or she can contemplate upon actions and make relevant changes (Taylor, 2000). I will be applying the “What”, “So what” and “Now what” model of reflection by Driscoll (2000) in this piece of work because it is a more coherent and comprehensible approach to follow when writing a reflective account and is also an easier guide to writing reflections. The learning need I chose to reflect on from my learning plan is having a better understanding of diabetes and the 6 basic medications used in treating the condition since it is a common illness on the ward I am have been allocated on for my first placement. The timescale set for achieving this objective was by the end of my two week placement that is from 27th January to 9th February and I achieved it with the help of a host of factors. In this assignment, all the names of the patients and wards have been omitted and indicated with letters and numbers for confidentiality reasons as stated in the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct (2008). The paper will primarily touch on the type 2 diabetes and furthermore on the achievement on my learning need.
The Marvel cinematic universe is known for having a family-friendly and loving tone, and their movies are usually action packed with a touch of humor. The director for the Avengers, Joss Whedon, takes a lot of pride in his films, and he tries to add humor whenever possible. This is seen in the second Avengers film, Avengers: The Age of Ultron. There is a scene where Captain America and Iron Man are having a debate on their use of language, and during a mission Captain America asks Iron Man to watch his profanity. This is a reminder that the film is primarily targeted towards children. On the other hand, DC like to keep their movies gritty, serious, and almost somber. In the great film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice the character’s use profanity is another way of expressing their thoughts. They are not necessarily censored, but still

When at peace, Thor is a kindly and good-natured God. However, he has a ferocious temper and has been known to lash out without thought of consequence. Just the mention of Trolls or Giants is enough to send him into frenzy.
Loki was a Norse god that was fickle to say the least. He played pranks and created so many problems for the other gods, including

Several well-known Norse gods are seen in mythology. Odin, god of war, death, sky, and poetry was referred to by over 150 names, such as the “Alfodr” or “Father of the Gods”. He was usually personified as One-eyed, wearing an eagle helmet into battle, alongside his spear Gungnir. The birds sacred to him were ravens. He had several children, one of which being Thor. Thor was the son of Odin, god of thunder, lightning, and storms. His weapon was the hammer. Loki was thought to be the blood-brother of Odin. Known as...
This lesson is designed to review and reinforce a few important concepts about plants (e.g. Needs, parts, sequence of planting) and to also guide the students through applying a few scientific inquiry (e.g. Making observations, experimentation, discussion, reflection, reporting results etc.). The students have previously planted corn and bean seeds and today’s lesson has provided the students a chance to see the results of the planted corn and bean seeds. Additionally, seeds have been planted under and growing under the following conditions: without water, and without soil. The students see the results of these seeds planted under these conditions for the past week. Two plants in particular have already been grown their growth has been
