Dr. Ivan Van Sertima book, "They came before Columbus," talks about many misconceptions about Columbus with history experts. He uses Columbus' diaries about the voyages to help formulate at what expense did some Africans and Native Indians suffer. Columbus said in his diary that in all his voyages that he was able to inquire many items as well as me other voyagers and climb aboard their ships. He also concluded that the new world he had found had many others on it and that their ways of living was not similar to those of Spaniard colonies. With all the information found from Columbus diaries Dr. Setima is able to use it toward reveling the outcome of treatment of those slave that were part of many of Columbus voyages.
In the late decades in Egypt and Europe, books and reports that shows Africans had been refined for quite a while. This confirmation has commonly been overlooked. One thing that the majority of the early adventurers and pilgrims to the new world had in like was that they all needed to manage the Indians. In every territory there are different tribes of Indians, therefore the individual stories composed by the adventurers and settlers are not the same as each other. The consequence implied that every one of them had diverse encounters to expound on in the accounts they composed. Upon the primary disclosure of the New World by Columbus, the pioneers of the early undertaking utilized the individual account to recount their story. If it wasn’t for Christopher Columbus setting out to explore the new world, the world as we know it today would not be the same. We would not be able to understand that the different culture or animal that exist. His adventure has made us all knowledgeable thanks to his findings. I would agree that he should be regarded as a hero due to all the discoveries that he has contributed
