When studying in the field of Sociology everyone is going to approach topics in a different manner. There are three categories in which people use to understand society. The approaches are known as sociological perspectives and are the functionalist, conflict, and symbolic interactionist perspective. Each perspective explains about the social world and human behavior. None of them is right or wrong they just have different viewpoints. Auguste Comte is the founding father of Sociology. He is known to view the world in a Functionalist paradigm wish is a Macro approach along with the conflict perspective as opposed to the micro symbolic interactionist perspective. He influenced his perspective and the world well by creating it. However, Comte is not the sole shareholder of the functionalist perspective. The functionalist perspective is based largely on the works of Herbert Spencer, Emile Durkheim, Talcott Parsons, and Robert Merton.
