Romeo and Juliet are two different families that despise each other. Many conflicts come about when the families meet up. There are a lot of fights that have created tensions as the years have gone on. Romeo and Juliet had to hide their love and marriage from their families, resulting in both of them dying. Their love of languages still shows throughout the book when they first met up and when they got to see each other and hang out. When you love someone, it is important to show that you care about them. One way Romeo and Juliet show that they love each other is by using words of affirmation. After an interview was conducted, an associate professor at the University Of Arizona, Dr. Michelle Rosser-Majors stated, ‘“As human beings, we aspire to feel competent, valued, and appreciated. Positive words have this type of power, creating the solid foundations needed to build strong, productive relationships that resonate clear lines of communication”’ (Rosser-Majors). As soon as Romeo and Juliet laid eyes on each other there was love, but as time went on and as they got to talk and hear each other talk about how much they love one another their love got stronger. Romeo states in Act 2, Scene 2, “A thousand times the worse, to want thy light” (2.2.81). Romeo expressed how much he loves Juliet and how he does not want to leave her. This makes Juliet feel safe and secure because she knows that Romeo will never leave her and it shows that he loves her so much. Since Montongues and Capulet are not fans of each other, Romeo and Juliet’s relationship results in being secret. Nobody knew about their relationship or their marriage, so the priest gave Juliet medicine that would make her go to sleep for two days, but Romeo did not know about this. Romeo thought that Juliet died because he did not receive the letter Friar Lawrence sent him. When Romeo killed himself, it showed that he could not live without spending time or being with Juliet. Romeo wants to spend time with Juliet, even when they are in heaven, or the afterlife. Juliet killed herself as well, showing that they both could not live without being with each other or spending quality time with each other every day, so they hope they will meet up again since they both passed away. Romeo and Juliet show a lot of affection with physical touch. Romeo hints at something early on in the book in Act 2 Scene 2. Romeo states, “Oh, are you going to leave me so unsatisfied” (2.2.77).
