The movie is about a man who is condemned to serve two life-terms, for a crime that he claimed to have not committed in connection with the killing of his wife and her lover after he had caught them in action. But the judge was quite satisfied with the arguments presented in the court and condemned an “innocent man”, Mr. Dufrense. But the convicted person pleaded for his innocence. The only reason for his condemnation was that the woman who was killed happened to be the condemned person’s wife and the other man was the secret lover of his wife. It is the same hope that made Red go to Mexico to meet his friend, Mr. Dufrense. This movie even though somber at first, but after Mr. Dufrense was sentenced to serve two life terms for the supposed double murders, he served a prison sentence of 26 years. This movie is one that is clouded by a lot of feelings of jealousy. This can be seen by the fact that Mr. Dufrense was charged with a murder that he did not commit himself or involved in or participated in. In addition, the killer who had killed the woman as a collateral as he planned revenged against the pro golfer thus putting an innocent man behind bars. The warden, upon realizing that Mr. Dufrense was innocent, instead of trying to reopen Mr. Dufrense’s case, decides to kill the only witness who could set Mr. Dufrense free. This was propelled by the greed he had as Mr. Dufrense was supplying money to the warden. People in our daily lives constantly tend to harbor their jealousies over justice. This can be seen when wars are waged between countries and regions, and many of them are fueled by jealousy as well as greed. Furthermore, there has been an increase in crime rates such as murders, heists

2 (A). After spending three decades behind bars, DNA evidence proved Cornelius Dupree’s innocence. Dupree was arrested and eventually wrongfully convicted for the robbery of a woman and a man. He was indicted on both the robbery and rape of the woman, but since prosecuting him for the rape would not extend his 75 year sentenced handed down for the robbery, the rape charges were dismissed. Who have an obligation to come to one conclusion and that's whether or not the young man on trial is guilty of murdering his father or is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt. Under much frustration and lack of patience these 12 men began to get unruly and unfocused. Throughout this distraction key terms get misused, facts get turned around and more importantly emotions start to cross making it hard for these men to produce a verdict.
...all want to believe that the crime was truly “foretold”, and that nothing could have been done to change that, each one of the characters share in a part of Santiago Nasar’s death. Gabriel Garcia Marquez writes about the true selfishness and ignorance that people have today. Everyone waits for someone else to step in and take the lead so something dreadful can be prevented or stopped. What people still do not notice is that if everyone was to stand back and wait for others, who is going to be the one who decides to do something? People don’t care who gets hurt, as long as it’s not themselves, like Angela Vicario, while other try to reassure themselves by thinking that they did all that they could, like Colonel Lazaro Aponte and Clotilde Armenta. And finally, some people try to fight for something necessary, but lose track of what they set out for in the first place.
