She always has a good attitude. Nancy always sees the situation as an opportunity to learn from her mistakes. The author has put Nancy in a position where she has to find out what to do next. She always tries to make people happy, even when the times are tough.
Nancy Drew is involved in a mystery of a missing will from a man named Josiah Crowley. He had lived with his relatives, the Tophams, while he was ill. He then died and left all his money to the Tophams, who are very cruel people. Nancy now has heard that there is a second will that leaves money to all his family members. As Nancy is trying to find the will, she is thrown a couple of curve balls. She is thrown in a closet with no way out, and she is told just to give up. She never gave up because she knows that all things are possible.
The main idea of this book is to encourage people never to give up even if others say otherwise. Nancy has exhibited this "never give up" attitude on many occasions. When Nancy is told to just quit the case and forget about it, she kept going and so should we. Also, when Nancy was told that she could never be better than her father it made her more determined. I am glad that we have people in the world like
One of the women from the book, Carolyn Ann Davis, was convicted for Larceny by embezzlement. While reading the book she tells the awful tale of her childhood. Carolyn grew up poor which caused problems for her family, by not being able to pay bills and many other

This book took place in the present time. It was mostly in Madison in Andy's high school and Madison Community College.
This book teaches the importance of self-expression and independence. If we did not have these necessities, then life would be like those in this novel. Empty, redundant, and fearful of what is going on. The quotes above show how different life can be without our basic freedoms. This novel was very interesting and it shows, no matter how dismal a situation is, there is always a way out if you never give up, even if you have to do it alone.
The theme of this novel is to look at the good you do in life and how it carries over after your death. The moral of the book is; "People can make changes in their lives whenever they really want to, even right up to the end."
Anne Moody's story is one of success filled with setbacks and depression. Her life had a great importance because without her, and many others, involvement in the civil rights movement it would have not occurred with such power and force. An issue that is suppressing so many people needs to be addressed with strength, dedication, and determination, all qualities that Anne Moody strived in. With her exhaustion illustrated at the end of her book, the reader understands her doubt of all of her hard work. Yet the reader has an outside perspective and knows that Anne tells a story of success. It is all her struggles and depression that makes her story that much more powerful and ending with the greatest results of Civil Rights and Voting Rights for her and all African Americans.
The deaths of Nancy refers to the near fatal car accident, which left her unable to respond to anyone; the family's realization that she would never be the person she was; and the actual physical release that Colby and the Cruzans fought to achieve. Attorney Colby tells of a family suffering the loss of a daughter, but unable to gain closure due to interfering medical care.
By immediately introducing her as a completely normal and remarkably kind-hearted girl, the reader is later on more affected by her brutal death than if she had been introduced in another light. The description of her lifestyle also emphasizes the sudden unexpectedness of the murders; no one expected a brutal murder in Holcomb, let alone the brutal murder of a girl like Nancy Clutter of all people. The seemingly insignificant details surrounding her handwriting and her developing maturity also make the reader sympathize with Nancy as she was murdered in the middle of her teenage years, right as she was beginning to understand herself and think about her future; her diary, meant to be read in the distant future, symbolized the future she’d never have. The image of Nancy setting out the dress she would eventually be buried in evokes sympathy in the reader as well and emphasizes the lost potential in Nancy’s
To conclude Anne Frank's personality traits throughout the Holocaust, she portrayed her quote, "In spite of everything, I believe that people are really good at heart." with optimism and hope. Throughout her time in hiding, she was positive so that she could get through everything that was going on. She hoped that that the Nazis would
...triumphs. Her responsibilities as a mother overpower anything that gets in her way. She wants a good life for her family, not a life in slavery with the possibility of losing her children. She doesn't only want freedom for her children; she wants a good life. Even when she is free Linda still needs more for her family; she wants a home of her own. Linda saw many families ripped apart by slavery. The pain she witnessed allowed her to persevere for the unity of her family. She overcomes many obstacles and endures a lot of pain and suffering to finally gain freedom for herself and her children. The reader can be sure that she will work hard to buy her own house for her family and continue to strive to provide the best for her children.
The main message of the book is that anybody can overcome anything with the right thoughts and traits. Eric Greitens has shown that numerous times throughout the book, for example, in this quote; “As warriors, as humanitarians, they've taught me that without courage, compassion falters, and that without compassion, courage has no direction.” (Eric Greitens, The Heart and the Fist: The Education of a Humanitarian, the making of a Navy SEAL).
...e last beating she received from Hy-Lo, a recovery from the loss of her cat, a recovery from the emotional stress of listening to her mother and brother get beaten, and eventually a recovery from a broken life. The importance of the theme of forgiveness cannot be overlooked either as she struggles to leave behind the man that stole the childhood she deserved to have. He seems warmer and dies almost immediately after she forgives him, almost as if he too needed to be forgiven in order to move on. She is able to face the future by obtaining recovery through forgiveness, forgiveness through understanding, and understanding through confronting her past. McFadden paints a vivid picture and helps us understand the impacts of an abusive past in a very real way that leaves a deep impact on the reader. Even though it's difficult to read about abuse, I thought this was a good

Agatha Christie, author of the murder mystery And Then There Were None, used foreshadowing and both external and internal conflict to portray the theme of her novel that justice can be served for the crimes that go unpunished. Christie used these elements because she enjoyed mystery and she liked to keep her readers engaged while reading. Agatha Christie is still considered one of the best, if not, the best murder mystery writer today because she wrote the first murder mystery novel and she wrote many more after that that was well loved by people.
