What is it?
The Second industrial Revolution occured after the First Industrial Revolution which began in Great Britain in the 1700’s and spread through the continent of Europe and the United States. During this period, industrial development grew rapidly. Important innovations in the Second Industrial Revolution include the use of electricity, mass production line, and the Bessemer steel process, which allowed for mass production of steel. As the railroads were a way to transport materials cheaply, more demand for railway use led to more railroad building.

What is it?
The Treaty of Versailles was the peace treaty signed at the Palace of Versailles in France on June 28, 1919 that brought an end to World War I. The Treaty of Versailles was between Germany and the Allied Powers. The terms of the Treaty were very harsh toward Germany, as it had taken responsibility for the war. The Treaty forced Germany to disarm and pay for repairs to certain countries, which required a massive amount of money.
How did it happen?
The Treaty of Versailles came about after Germany requested an armistice due to running out of food and supplies, and exhaustion. The armistice led to the Treaty of Versailles. The intention of the Treaty of Versailles was to punish the Central Powers and Germany for World War I. The Treaty called for the Allied Powers to receive reimbursement for the economic damages from the war.
