Life is becoming reliant on technology. Life has become so revolved around technology that “50% of teens admit to being addicted to their phonesâ€, according to a study done by dailyinfographic.com. If we are so involved with our phones and our technology, then why is it being taken away from us?

...helle Hackman, a sophomore in high school, realized that her friends, rather than engaging in a conversation, were “more inclined to text each other” (Huffington Post). Michelle also became aware that over forty percent of people were suffering from anxiety when they were separated from the phones. This clearly shows that we are connected to the technology that we use, but we are also suffering from the use of technology. We spend more than half of our entire day using some sort of technology, whether that is a computer, phone, television, or radio. Technology is becoming a prevalent part of our lives, and we cannot live without it. Technology has become our family, and part of us.
What is the most important thing in your life? The answer most people give is their phone or laptop. The dependence and importance of technology has increased within the last decade. Bradbury has given us a warning of the obsession with technology in his writing, Fahrenheit 451. Montag saw how obsessed his society was with technology because he noticed how "Nobody listens anymore. . . I just want someone to hear what I have to say" (78). Montag is frustrated that people's opinions are no longer valid because the society is too busy focusing on the fascinating technology. As said by Jane Weaver on NBC, teenagers nowadays spend around 30 hours a week using technology. Thats over 4 hours a day spent watching television or playing games for no educational purpose whatsoever. The mania for technology has caused many to loose focus of more important things like achieving ones dreams.

Thinking back to when I was eight years old, I couldn 't wait for sixth grade because my parents had promised to get me a cell phone, I remember counting down the days till the summer of fifth grade was over because I already knew which cell phone I wanted. Once I got it I couldn’t stop showing my mom all of the cool things it could do. Which looking back at it today, it really couldn

In mid March of 1998, a scientific break through occurred for the engineers at NASA. The space probe that they sent to Mars came back and, for the first time, contained readable and usable photographs of the planet's landscape. Full of pride over their latest achievement, NASA posted the information on the Internet. This allowed astronomy enthusiasts, students, and other interested individuals to take a first hand look at the, never before seen, Martian Landscape. (NASA)
"Internet Censorship." What does this mean to us? What is restricted? Censorship is summarily defined as the suppression of objectionable material. That means that material such as pornography, militant information, offensive language, anti-religion, and racism would be restricted in use. Freedom would not only be restricted to material placed on the web, but also what you could access, and where you could explore. Should the right of Freedom of Speech be taken away from us on the Internet? Having stated this, should there be any restrictions and if so, what's the limit of censorship?
We want freedom, we want our voice to be heard. Through social media we try to stay connected with people. However our governments fear the social media because it can lead to revolutions like the one in Egypt. Our governments use internet censorship to protect themselves. Although some of use try to oppose it, there is a population that is fine with it. That is the connection of internet censorship with modern day politics. It directly affects the way people look at their government and their regime and their political views. The three countries I talked about use internet censorship however there are differences between them. North Korea is the most extremist country and it is maybe an example of what China and Turkey might be like one day. These countries are all related to each other somehow and

that some of the material that is on the net needs to be filtered and regulated. The word censorship is defined as examining any material and prohibiting what is objectionable, according to Webster’s II dictionary. Censoring the internet is a violation of the first ammendment rights of every citizen in the United States. There are two general truths that some people feel are attitudes towards censoring the internet. The first is that very few people admit to favoring it. The second is that no matter who you are, in a matter of minutes spent surfing the net almost anyone can find something that they find to be offensive. In fact, some web surfers feel that the truly inappropriate things are inspired by one’s own religion. For example, the Nurenberg Files website showed pictures of mangled fetuses with the photograph, name, and address of some abortion clinic doctors.
Many people walk and don’t even look up anymore. Riding the bus today has become a very silent ride. You have people listening to music, checking emails, statuses, and other social network sites. You can’t even get a simple hello or how are you doing like the old days. Even in classrooms students can’t put away their phones . It’s as if they can’t live without it. They are so attached and fascinated by people’s tweets or Facebook posts that takes their focus away. Mainly the reason why many students fail a class is because if your teacher sees you using your phone, it shows that you are not serious and your focus is not there .We have something called self-control and if our society learns how to put their phone down and live life ,they can realize the beauty around them .Technology wouldn’t take over our

Everyone has seen that kid with music blasting basting out of his purple ear-buds, girl texting on her phone, and the teen on their phone communicating with society. As a fellow teen, in my daily life, I use technology constantly. Either in school or outside of school. I feel teens rely on today’s technology to heavily that it may be having harmful affects on teens. The youth of today are constantly engaged in technological advancements. technology promote nonstop communication and instant gratification. whether through cell phones, gaming systems, laptops, or i pods. are these technological advancements a good thing? The growth of technology has negatively influenced the social interactions of today's youth because it isolates individuals from reality, hinders communication, and effects the teens learning ability.
