Qur’an is a scripture “God’s message and revelation to the human race that by time became a written book” that was send not only for a certain place or certain time, but to everyplace and every time. The closest meaning to the word Qur’an is recite and yet, it is still doesn’t have the same meaning in Arabic. The Qur’an was reveled in Hijaz. Hijaz is the old name of Arabia that covers Mecca and Madina. Qur’an is God’s words reveled to Prophet Muhammad by angel Gabriel.
This topic got my attraction because of many reasons, but mostly because that the Qur’an itself is considered to be a miracle till our day. The Qur’an is considered to be a miracle since the day it was revealed because it was revealed to the prophet Muhammad who is considered to be illiterate. Qur’an was reveled in Arabic language to the people that excelled in the language itself, and yet they were shocked. In that time, people knew that this is a miracle and god’s message, but for them to protect their gods, power, and business they claimed that the prophet Muhammad is a magician and insane.
Qur’an is not only miracle by its language, but also by its stories. Qur’an mentioned the best of stories. Qur’an has two types of stories. The first type is prophets and messengers and what happened to their people. For instance, the story of Mosses and the Pharaoh, the story of Jesus, the story of Yousef, the story of Noah, the story of prophet Muhammad, and many others. The second type is about individuals and groups. For example, the story of Mosses with the good man, the story of the elephant group, and many others. Qur’an has two ways of telling a story. Either by reported narration of the events, or by dialogue story telling. For instance, the story of Yousef is considered to be a reported narration of events, while the story of mosses and the good man is considered to be a dialogue story. These stories were mentioned in Qur’an because of a reason which is for us to learn the morals and not to do the same mistakes.
For many Muslims society, Qur’an is considered to be a guidance book or a way of living. Qur’an teaches us many morals and good manners that we should do. For instance, not to cheat in anything, help people, be good to our neighbors, and many others.
Because of Islam’s holy book, The Qur’an revolved a lot around the sacred language, Arabic, which was very beneficial for trade. Since the text in The Qur’an was in Arabic, it helped spread language, religion and culture when people traded it (Outside Source: Spread of Islam Background Reading Packet). This helped spread Islam because a lot of people read it, they may have thought of the same way and told themselves that they should become and adherent (Adherent: “Sticking to” or “ Having Faith in”) to Islam (Doc
It is a Bible, a book. The Koran gives examples of the ways a woman needs to act in society. A woman is supposed to be there for her husband’s. A husband can marry multiple women and the woman may not be upset. A woman may have a dowry, but it is highly favored to give a portion of it to their husband
When the term "miracle" comes to mind, the average person doesn’t quite know what to say. After all, a miracle is something unexplained that is looked upon in awe. Webster’s Universal Dictionary defines a miracle as:
... Egyptians close behind. As the bible explains the miracle takes place the Red Sea splits leading the Israelite’s to freedom. As the Egyptians were crossing the sea it closed it’s gates and let them drown with in the waters of the sea. In justifying whether Hume would discredit this miracle he would definitely see how one may say it is a miracle, but again would have a hard time validating the testimony of the miracle. Again we see the pattern of the fact that there is no one to testify for the event. We can only view this as a truthful experience through our belief in God and the bible. It is what we are taught to believe through religious texts, and our house of worship. It is the individuals perception of reality and what he or she believes to be a valid event. In conclusion, a miracle is actually based on an individuals own perception of past and present experiences. The belief in a miraculous event tends to have no real evidence through mans hope, it tends to be something better through our expectations. I can not debate the belief of a miracle. There is no right or wrong belief. It is viewed through our own individual perception and faith, our existence and sense of reality.
Islam and the worship of Allah (god) began with Muhammad and his revelations that lasted for 23 years of his life from (610 C.E.- 623 C.E.). In the Islamic religion it is believed that he was the last prophet sent by Allah (god) and this made all his teachings into to Law and are looked at as the will of God. These messages were given to him through the archangel Gabriel, in a kind of continuation to the Jewish Torah and Christian Bible, which the Qur’an shares some similarities or past “history” with them such as the belief in Abraham and Jesus as a prophet, but in the eye’s of Mohammad the Jews and Christians had fallen astray from the real teaching of god.

The only point that I thought completely supported their existence is that they were mentioned by non-Christian texts. The trouble is that they were not eyewitnesses; miracles could be rumors that could be messed up through retelling. I understand that eyewitnesses wrote the gospels and so if they said they saw miracles, they probably happened. Is there any other evidence though? Miracles to not be very well historically supported compared to other elements backed in this book. Why was indirect evidence not mentioned? The resurrection of Jesus is more credible because of the indirect evidence, such as the empty
The Qur’an is believe to the ultimate source of God by many Muslim believers. It contains 114 suras for the believers as the core practices of the Islamic religion and Muslims throughout the world recites its verses (Chang, Lecture. 1/21/14). They believed the prophet of Allah was Muhammad, who received the words of Allah through Angel Gabriel, and was passed on with the Qur’an during Ramadan. Angel Gabriel one night came to Muhammad “in clear human form” (“Scripture and Tradition in Islam- The Qur’an and Hadith” 104), and gave the messages from Allah to him. From the establishment of the Qur’an, Muslims have viewed the book as the last revelation of their god Allah, and thus are the true words from God for their ways of life and in reaching Allah in their afterlife. The book also teaches “mankind’s responsibility assigned by God” (Gordon 115). Therefore, Muslims practices in ways to prove their devotion towards the new religion of Islam by being faithful, and performing religious practices.
This proves that Muhammad was successful in all aspects of life, both as a prophet and a statesman, and has achieved many things that allowed him to successfully spread the message of God, which has reached Muslims up until today, and has created the second largest religion in the world.
The Origins and Importance of the Quran The Quran is the Islamic Holy book. The word Quran means recitation and its verses are recited by Muslims throughout the world. The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in Ramadan, the holy month of the Islamic calendar, in the year 610CE. One night that came to be known as ‘The night of power’, when Prophet Muhammed was 40 years old, while meditating in his usual place, Cave Hira on Jabal-al-Nur ( mountain of light), he suddenly saw an angel appear before him. This angel was angel Jibr’eel (Gabriel).
...ethics, and so forth. The crucial piece of information to remember about this religion is that they greatly emphasis unity and have a great amount of diversity. Even though it is a diverse religion, all of the Muslims are monotheistic and solely believe that Allah is the creator of everything, including humans. As a human being they believe that they are in debt to God or simply stated as according to Seyyed Hossein Nasr, “Therefore, all that we are and all that we have belongs to God for which we are indebted to Him and for whose gifts we must give thanks (shukr)” . God is the Absolute and the main point of the Islamic religion is that it is crucial to worship him and follow his commands, and that will lead to peace among everyone. This particular religion has continued to rapidly grow throughout the world and as with most religions, it will continue to grow.
Quran is the complete epitome of Islam which truly defines what the jest and central idea of the Islam what Islam offers and what it requires from its worshippers and what Allah offers in this and the hereafter. The greatest qualities which helps to gain Allah’s mercy and those which annoys him are mentioned in the Quran in detail. A lot of miracles bestowed upon the prophets of Allah have been mentioned in the Quran which only highlights the importance of the Quran. Our Holy Prophet S.A.W.W has been bestowed the miracle of the Quran which just highlights its beauty and power. The greatness of the Quran is even more prominent due to the fact that it hasn’t changed throughout the centuries. The Quran is also written in very clear and understanding
Indeed, the most important text in the Islam is the Holy Quran. Muslims translators believe that they have to translate it in order to spread the massage. As well as, it will show how principles of Islamic faith reflect the word choices in the target language (Khosravi, Pourmohammadi, 2016, p.151). Religious translation has an important role in spreading holy texts' message. The importance of Religious translation is to guide people of different languages and cultures. Therefore, Holy Quran is the most difficult text that faced Arabic
Other religions make use of Quran to get success, because it is a manual of life not only for Muslims but for those who follows it nonmuslims make use of Quran in every field of their life from firth day till the last breath.
The Qur’an mainly reflects on their God Allah and their messenger Muhammad. It relays the rules and messages Allah wanted his people to follow. Similar to the Christian Bible, which many Americans follow, it is a way of life that relaxes many and gives a reason to believe in something bigger than yourself. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own beliefs. Although a majority of the Qur’an is used for prayers and beliefs of Allah, there are many signs of violence among it as well. In the beginning of each chapter in the Qur’an, the first line always reads: “In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful”, which is referring to Allah and how they praise him each time before reciting their prayer. Throughout the Qur’an we see how influential this figure is over this religion and how much respect and belief they have in Allah. From all of the forgiveness he gives them to believing in their religion God always rewards them when they follow his word. They will do what it takes for their Gods strength, love, forgiveness and
