Introduction:
In this research paper I am going to inform you about the desk research I carried out dealing with a service related organization. The organization I have chosen for my assignment is Qatar's Islamic Arts Museum. It is beyond questioning that I have chosen such an organization for various reasons. It is deeply related to the tourism, hospitality and leisure industry. Besides this, it is a major contributor to the current development of the cultural and entertainment sector in the state of Qatar. Furthermore, QIM is meant to bring in more tourists into Qatar. One more thing, Qatar's Islamic Arts Museum is considered as home to the World's largest collection of Islamic art. To cut it short, Qatar's Islamic Arts Museum represents the largest museum that is mainly dedicated to Islamic art in the world. In this respect, it is of paramount interest to shed lights on the key aspects about the history of such a unique museum, its legal form as an organization, specify its mission and vision, describe the environmental factors that influence it and identify the products and or services that it offers.

The birth of the Islamic Arts Museum can be seen as an intelligent and thoughtful plan to fulfill the vision and mission of Qatar Museums Authority (QMA). The QMA is the official body in charge of the management of all the various museums in the State of Qatar. When Hebib was younger she moved to the United States in 1996 from Croatia, where she grew up. 1996 was a year after the conflict in the Balkan ended. Her mother was politically active at the time and moved to Germany. “We were apart for 3 years. I had an opportunity to visit the oriental institute museum . During my visit to the museum I was made aware of its location and the importance of it to chicago. The museum housed many exhibits of historical value dating civilization back to the paleolithic period of 2,500,000-100,000 B.C. Below you'll find examples of mans rise through the use of tools and refined skills from cave living to structured living throughout evolution. This is an experience that has grounded me to a new interest in structures that we have devised to become the homes we use today for the rest of my life.
One pleasant afternoon, my classmates and I decided to visit the Houston Museum of Fine Arts to begin on our museum assignment in world literature class. According to Houston Museum of Fine Art’s staff, MFAH considers as one of the largest museums in the nation and it contains many variety forms of art with more than several thousand years of unique history. Also, I have never been in a museum in a very long time especially as big as MFAH, and my experience about the museum was unique and pleasant. Although I have observed many great types and forms of art in the museum, there were few that interested me the most.
Muslims ruled a large empire for a long period of time. The influence of the Islamic Empire is demonstrated through the similarities of the arts and architecture from the Umayyad to the Ottomans. The issue is the museum website refers to all the art as Islamic Art, which is not the case. Depending on the observer, one can interpret whether all the art as Islamic or not. For instance, an orthodox Muslim might find only the art that contains calligraphy, geometry, and vegetal designs as Islamic. On the hand, a secular Muslim might find the all the arts including figural representations as Islamic. When walking around a city, you may notice that the architecture and art look similar to other works. Many of these designs have changed along the course of history and time whilst others have not. The designs that many people still see in society and day to day living is from two of the many cultures of the old civilizations, Roman and Islamic. The art and architecture forms from the Islamic and Roman cultures have many comparisons and contrasts between them. They, the Islamic and Roman nations, have both adopted from other cultures and have made their own discoveries in the art and architecture worlds. The Roman and Islamic architecture and art vary drastically from each other and yet have varying comparisons between the two.
No one can deny that Qatar is one of the most advanced countries in the Arab nations and in Asia and it has the power to say that Qatari people can make their future but, we could not ignore that there are some points should be kept in mind such as; the lack of a fully experienced modernity amongst Qatari also means the lack of critical history, or at least the lake of the critical, allegedly "objectively detached" modern form of history that has come to dominate the study of history in the West. In addition, the lack of recent, critical history on Qatar by Qataris is due to sensitivity about history as a critical enquiry and a challenge to prosperous status quo(P:17).
The Bibi Khanym is a congregational mosque, masjid-i jami` in Persian, built by Emperor Timur-i Leng between 1399 and 1404 in Samarkand, present day Uzbekistan. Emperor Timur remarkably expanded his small tribe into the Timurid Dynasty, which lasted from 1370 to 1507. Timur showed great leadership skills and also had an interest in architecture. The results of his artistic interests are especially apparent in Samarkand, the capital of the Timurids during Timur’s reign where art, architecture, and culture flourished. The Bibi Khanum exemplifies the vision that Timur held for Samarkand because of the monument’s dominant and massive nature. Although today the mosque is different from the time of the Timurid Dynasty because of the renovations over the years, the Bibi Khanum is still a testimony to the unbelievable and intricate architecture of the times. The Bibi Khanum congregational mosque is an exceptional example of Timur’s style of grand building and incredible embellishments expressed throughout the Timurid Dynasty.
