British Imperialism is a greatly debated topic, should England have imposed all of their lifestyle, religion, and ways on other countries, telling them that this is the right way to do things? What about natural resources? Should England have gone in to countries to strip them of their natural resources just for their own good? Now these all seem like extremely negative aspects of British Imperialism, but there wouldn’t be anyone here today writing about it if it wasn’t for England doing so. There wouldn’t be anyone sitting in a country where freedom rings. So when it comes down to it: for or against British Imperialism? All for it. Because of the advancements in industrialization and technology, and because of the colonization and modernization of countries. Britain needed to expand their empire in order to advance in all aspects of industrialization and technology. In order to fuel their factories and work they needed to go outside of the country to find oil and gas. Now was it fair for them to go in to countries and strip them of their resources for their own good? Think about it subjectively, those countries weren’t hardly using those resources themselves so it’s The output of many, many different inventions and technological advancements, production methods, industrialization, and colonization. All of these things, in one way or another, have produced more good than bad. And if I were to go back in time, I would have supported British Imperialism, maybe not for the colonization or reasons that they intended but perhaps for the reasons that follow, such as escaping religious persecution or having the opportunity to start a new life.
