The Problems of Traffic Congestion in Chester The existing problems that Chester faces concerning traffic congestion
are numerous and varied. They range from dangerous conditions to
frequent delays and occur all over the city but mainly in the City
Centre (CBD).
A number of solutions have been offered and Chester City Council have
adopted lots of these ideas. Although some are believed to have
worked, some have definitely not. I believe that some of the
solutions, like Park and Ride schemes, which operate by collecting
passengers on the edge of the city and dropping them off in the
centre, have certainly failed to work, especially on Saturdays (a
popular shopping day). My regular experiences of travelling with
different Park and Ride services has taught me that it's just as easy
to park your car on the edge of the CBD and walk into the centre of
Chester than to use these special 'faster' services.

The most noticeable inconvenience of driving in Miami is traffic congestion. In fact, because the highways are cluttered with a significant amount of vehicles carpooling is encouraged. For this purpose, high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes were formed. Each weekday, a simple twenty-minute drive turns into an eternal wait for forward progress. With each minute that goes by cars advance less than twenty feet. And while the traffic may open up in some areas, in its entirety I-95 remains congested during the morning and evening hours, as seen in the image where cars on the South Florida Highways line up bumper-to-bumper. The cause for such highway clutter varies, but it is interesting to note the difficulty in explaining highway driving conditions. It is uncertain as to whether the accidents cause traffic congestion or the traffic congestion causes accidents. Either way, the main roads and highways commuters take to work are crowded with drivers. Furthermore, I-95 passes through several commercial districts in the lower Miami area. Many large trucks and commercial vehicles, as well as passenger vehicles, drive to work at these commercial areas. The weekday traffic congestions on the Miami roadways are, in large part, a major inconvenience to commuters, all with intent to arrive early to work.

The Road to Wigan Pier by George Orwell gives an in-depth look at the lives of working class families and the fight for Socialism. While the book is separated into two parts, Orwell uses the conditions given in the first part of the book to make his points in the second part. Hamish Miles wrote that the book "is a living and lively book from start to finish. The honest Tory [Conservative] must face what he tells and implies, and the honest Socialist must face him, too.” Miles statement is a reference to the way that Orwell gives examples for and against Socialism that everyone including non-Socialist can gain knowledge from reading. On December 30th, 2016 Deputy Akins was responding to a disturbance at 10700 Centennial Road. While on the way to the disturbance, Deputy Akins received notice from Pulaski County Sheriff's Dispatcher that the suspect was leaving in a red Chevrolet truck. Deputy Akins saw a truck. Deputy Akins turned around and caught up with the vehicle at Centennial Road and Highway 107 where the truck disregarded a stop sign. The vehicle turned south bound on Highway 107. Deputy Akins activated his blue lights and initiated a traffic stop which the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of Bayou Meto Elementary school.

While on patrol I initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for not having a tag. The stop was conducted on County Road 3304, just off of US HWY 231 South. On my initial approach I made contact with driver, Martin, and passenger Ray Jordan. As I informed Martin for the stop, I observed that she was very nervous and would not make eye contact with me. She also failed to maintain her same story when asked about not having a tag, as well as where she was driving to. Due to her behavior and nervousness, I asked Martin for consent to search her vehicle. Martin gave consent. She and Jordan were then directed out and detained so a search of the vehicle could be conducted.
Various aspects of traffic congestion in Toronto have been analyzed in detail. It is clear that Toronto is facing a serious problem of traffic congestion since it is the most congested city in North America. Traffic congestion in Toronto costs over $ 2 billion annually and it is caused by a variety of factors. These factors are categorized into non-recurring and recurring factors. However, the paper focused on recurring factors which contribute to the largest proportion of traffic congestion in Canada. These include increased automobile use, poor planning and lapse in implementation of laws which govern traffic systems. This leads to the use of many private cars by employees who commute to work as opposed to use of public transport systems resulting in congestion. Traffic congestion in Toronto has various adverse effects including barriers to emergency services, delays, idle time and opportunity costs as well as pollution.
Wicked problems refer to socio-cultural difficulties that are impossible to solve due inadequacy of knowledge, large number of involved opinions of people, heavy effect on the economy, and the interlinked manner of the given problems to others. Wicked, in this context, represents something that opposes resolution. Various urban problems are persistent due to their wicked characteristics. This paper seeks to contextualize three wicked urban issues, namely, urban biodiversity, urban street planning, and urban smart cities, as reported in news articles. This will necessitate a better understanding of the specified wicked problems as a way of finding probable solutions.
Traffic engineers and planners need information about traffic. They need information to design and manage road and traffic system. They use the information for planning and designing traffic facilities, selecting geometric standards, economic analysis and determination of priorities. They use this to justify warrant of traffic control devices such as signs, traffic signals, pavement markings, school and pedestrian crossings. The also use this information to study the effectiveness of introduced schemes, diagnosing given situations and finding appropriate solutions, forecasting the effects of projected strategies, calibrating and validating traffic models.
Traffic jam is one of the most serious problems of urbanization, almost all the modern cities are facing different levels of traffic jam problems. In general, people can ease the traffic jam and not compromise the quality of life by a policy of sustainable development in two aspects including formulating a more efficient transport pattern and changing the urban construction.

The development of every nation hinges on the effectiveness of their transportation systems. Movement of goods, services and people to and from locations is made possible by transportation systems. The importance of effective transportation systems cannot be over-emphasized. Many countries face transportation problems and my country Ghana is no exception. The topic I picked for our community project was traffic lights. In a community, people need stop signs and traffic lights to slow down drivers from going to fast. If there were no traffic lights or stop signs, people’s lives would be in danger from divers going too fast.
