A Perfect Community Have you ever thought of living in a perfect world. A utopian society is a community that has nearly perfect qualities. A utopian society is hard or even impossible to create, you would need to have everyone be the same and everything would have to be perfect. Many people believe that a utopia is a livable and better environment than a unperfect world, other people will disagree and they prefer the world lived in today.
The first reason a unperfect community is better than a utopia is that everyone's the same in an perfect community. In the giver everyone was the same and they had no emotions and couldn't be different. People in the giver couldn't feel pain, listen to music, and couldn't even see color! A world without emotions would make everyone the same and there would be no diversity it would be very boring and a bland community to live in. With emotions, color, and pain in the world it will make anything so much better than if everyone was the same without emotions. …show more content…

If you lived in a perfect community in order for it to be perfect you can't hold secrets and everyone has to know what you are thinking and what your doing. In the Giver the people that lived in the community had to share their dreams in the morning and their thoughts and feelings before night. If people had secrets in a utopia then it wouldn't be perfect because everyone has to be the same and not all people have the same thoughts going through their head. So in order to have a perfect community you have have to share all your thoughts and feelings with everyone else so they had the same thoughts as you in their head, if you share all of thoughts then you would have no privacy and thoughts to keep to
