“The Canterbury Tales” authored Geoffrey Chaucer lead to the live action adaptation of “A Knight’s Tale”, which is single fable told by a character within the events of story. While both are based on the same fable, there are surprising some major differences. During the reading of “The Canterbury Tales”, “The Prologue” and “The Pardoner’s Tale” also contain many similarities and differences. When read these three parts of “The Canterbury Tales,” it is important to understand the structure and events of the story. The scene is set when several pilgrim are on a trip to Canterbury. The pilgrims take turns attempting to tell the best tale so that they will win a dinner. The movie

While both the live action adaptation and the written form of “A Knight's Tale” was purposely written the entertain, “The Pardoner's Tale” was written to reveal a message. A massage that was revealed through a plot focused fabel, not charaters. Understanding why the results happened not what caused them to happen, shows the reader that the theme is relatable to anybody in any situation. “The Prologue” purpose is to inform the readers of basic information that will be needed to comprehend the events to follow. Because “The Prologue” consist of little plot development, it is very hard to provide a message to the readers. Inturn resulting in writing that can not consist of a theme.
