In this ever changing world we live in, technology seems to be at the epicenter of every choice we make throughout our hectic lifestyles. The human race has become reliant on technology to help us throughout our days and make our lives easier. Schools, offices and homes are just some of the institutions that have been completely taken over by technology since the boom of computer systems that were thought to make life easier and faster. Technology has helped with numerous areas of our lives, but could it be the cause of dehumanizing us? Technology is changing the human lifestyle in a way that is ruining the values and traditions that humans have carried on for years through many generations.

The technology boom has changed how people view their lives and daily routines. Tasks that could have taken hours to accomplish can be done in just minutes by the push of a button. Many would say that having the ability to get something done in a fast and easy …show more content…

The first question I asked was how often her family spends time together during the day. “We are all together for dinner at night and in the mornings we do breakfast. Sometimes its hard to get everyone together, and to actually have a meal at the dinner table. My brother constantly listens to music and my little sister is glued to the television.” The second question I asked was how it was different for her in home country of Ecuador. She stated that, “In Ecuador we didn’t have the same luxuries that we have in America. The television was in the living room and it was the only technology we had besides that telephone that was in the kitchen. We didn’t have access to iPhones and iPods and we didn’t have a television in every room. In Ecuador we spent almost all of the day together as a close family unit, and didn’t have the distractions we have
