Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960, into the household of Lionel and Joyce Dahmer [Biography.com Editors] As a newborn and young child, he appeared to have no mental or physical problems and was a very curious and outgoing child. Despite having confessed to the killings during police interrogation, Dahmer initially pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, against the advice of his legal counsel, he changed his plea to guilty by virtue of insanity (Biography.com Editors). The court soon found Dahmer guilty but also insane on all courts. Dahmer was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms, or 957 years, in prison (Biography.com Editors).
Dahmer 's 15 consecutive year sentence would be coming to an end on the day of November 28, 1994. Dahmer was sent to work for the jail with two other men but only one man would be returning back to the prison.
