Picking a college has to be one of the most biggest and important discussions a person has to do in life. Going to college means so much to me, I have always dreamed of going to a college that I love for the major that I want. My father went to college immediately after he graduated high school, my mother on the other hand did not get the chance go to college immediately after due to me being born. She did attend HACC when I turned 6 years old, and she now has her Bachelor's degree. Knowing that information makes me wanna push myself so much because I wanna show my mother that everything turned out fine even though she struggled . She told me many stories about how it was very difficult to get a good job due to her not going to college and that’s when she decided she was going to go back to get her Bachelor’s degree. This college also has both majors of nursing and sociology. For a nursing major, you spend your first year taking required science and liberal studies courses then nursing courses and clinical class will begin your sophomore year (“Indiana University of Pennsylvania”). The ethnic diversity rank is 1,758 out of 2,718 (“Indiana University of Pennsylvania”). I think that is a decent amount of diversity, being hispanic that matters to me very much. You must have a 3.2 high school overall GPA (“Indiana University of Pennsylvania”). The GPA requirement isn't too high that it will be a problem for me. As of Fall 2017, there is a student body of 12,853 (“Indiana University of Pennsylvania”).
