The darkest action in the story, "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, is when General Zaroff tells the stranded hunter Rainsford, that he will be the next one hunted. This action is highlighted when the General calmly announces, "As you wish my friend....the choice rests entirely with you. But may I venture to suggest that you will find my idea at sport more diverting than Ivan's."
