A Plan in the Making
Some people have always wondered whether the making of Constitution of the United States was, in fact, supposed to happen at the Constitutional Convention or if it was even supposed to be drawn up in the way it was. In this essay, I will summarize to different views on what went on at the Constitutional Convention and how the Constitution of the United States come about. I want to emphasize that none of these views or theories discussed in this essay are my own. The convention that is referred to was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It began In May of 1787.
I will first discuss John P. Roche’s views on the framing of the Constitution. He begins talking about the “Founding Fathers.'; He called great democratic politicians. He says that even though they were great politicians, they had to proceed with caution. This was because they did not want to upset the public. They needed to keep the people’s interest in concern at all times. Roche said that the “Founding Father’s'; relied on experience not reason.
He argues that even though the politicians wanted something else, they still had to conform to the general population. If they did not, then the public would not accept anything that came out of this convention. Roche also says that there were those that wanted a monarchy or a different type of government other than what the Articles of Confe...
As stated in my thesis statement, the sport of hockey has been forced to compete with the growing mass popularity with other sports such as basketball and football. There once was a point in time where hockey had just as much popularity as those sports but because people are finding more interest in those sports, the National Hockey League found itself in a “drought” of unimportance with other sports. With not televising the sport as “commonly” as other sports.
All of the framer of the U.S. Constitution had one thing in common, they all felt that the government didn't have enough power. At the same time they didn't want to give the government to much power. They all knew if there was power to be held someone was going to hold it and over use it The framers didn't want to create a system like Britain or England.
My research strives to answer the presence and degree of interbreeding between Neanderthal and Modern humans. Researchers use different comparisons of the fossil record, phylogenetic, morphological, and genetic methods to explore these questions in more detail. The literature provided many positive correlations to my hypothesis that Neandertals and Modern Humans interbred on a small-scale basis after the dispersal of modern humans from Africa. The literature also predicts a time frame of likely interbreeding. To explore this question it is important to research article’s explaining the statistical, genetic, and physical evidence associated with possible interbreeding.
to as ice hockey. In its origin, hockey is one of the oldest games played. The earliest mention of the sport of hockey dates back
Glass transition is not the same as melting. Melting (or freezing, or boiling or condensation) undergoes a change in heat capacity and a latent heat is involved or in another term, melting is a first order transition that only occurs in crystalline polymers. However, for glass transition, it is a second-order transition that only occurs in the amorphous polymers and does not involve latent heat since amorphous polymers have a relatively weak intermolecular forces that bond them together and can be broken once heat is applied whereas crystalline polymers have a strong primary (cross-linking) covalent bonds. Glass transition temperature and melting temperature can occur in the same process because in a semi-crystalline polymers, both amorphous and crystalline regions exist where the amorphous polymers undergo only the glass transition and the crystalline polymers undergo only
The hockey puck has revolutionized the game of hockey to make it prosper from years to come. I feel like it has come along way from just being a rubber ball that was cut in has to all the improvement it has made. Who knows where the sport would be without the hockey puck. It has given people the chance to play a sport that they might love and might be able to make a living from playing it.
The defining moment of the importance of hockey in Canada was “The Goal of the Century” in 1972. It was the evening of September 28th; the site was Moscow – U.S.S.R. In the midst of the Cold War, a game-winning goal by Canadian hockey player Paul Henderson at the end of the third period with only 34 seconds left on the clock vaulted Canada to a victory at the Summit Series and put them on top of the hockey world. The heart and character of Canadian hockey internationally began. “The exact moment of that spectacular goal has become a reference point in our national collective consciousness.”- R. Eagleson (Foreword). It was the climatic goal watched by almost every Canadian, and their pride swelled to amazing heights. Hockey is more than just a game in Canada, it is a celebrated history. Hockey is Canada’s identity. “Hockey captures the essence of Canadian experience in the New World. In a land so inescapably and inho...
Hockey would not be hockey without the players. The NHL is famous for its five on five play. Roller hockey, on the other hand, is four on four. Strategically in ice hockey two players stay primarily on defense while the other three are sent forward for offense. Roller hockey, however, with only two forwards for offense, one of the two defense-men must move up to join the attack in order for teams to have an effective attack. While causing a minor headache to defensive players, having four players on the floor allows more open ice to skate and make plays in. This too has a downfall though, four players doing the work of five can be tiresome to players leading to the need for shorter periods.
Hockey and its modern roots date back to the late nineteenth century. Interestingly, one of the considered fathers of hockey, Lord Stanley, came to Canada and showed great interest in the amazing sport. He then donated a steel mug of his to the sport which was to become The Stanley Cup. It is the oldest trophy in all of sports. Hockey is the sport of all sports and there is not a quality of another sport one will not find in hockey. If so, it would be a more boring version of something similar that hockey already has to offer. For example, in Golf there is the putt and in Hockey there is the slap shot.
In creating the Constitution, the states had several different reactions, including a rather defensive reaction, but also an understanding reaction. As a document that provided the laws of the land and the rights of its people. It directs its attention to the many problems in this country; it offered quite a challenge because the document lent itself to several views and interpretations, depending upon the individual reading it. It is clear that the founders’ perspectives as white, wealthy or elite class, American citizens would play a role in the creation and implementation of The Constitution.
It is a hard-hitting, fast faced and ability testing sport. “For many Canadians hockey is more than a sport – it's a way of life. Hockey parents spend every spare moment shuffling their children to and from the rink for every practice and game. Hockey players spend their entire lives improving stick handling skills, trying to skate with a little more speed, and studying the game with the hope that they can one day glide across the ice in front of throngs of screaming fans” . Hockey is seen as a Canadian symbol and national sport, and many believe has greatly impacted Canadian history, identity and culture.
One of the most hotly debated issues in Anthropology focuses on the origins of modern humans. There are two theories about the origin of modern human, one being that modern humans originated in Africa and the second being that pre-modern humans migrated from Africa to become modern humans in other parts of the world. While both theories originate in Africa, most evidence points to the first theory, the Out of Africa Model. The amount of fossils of modern-like humans that are found in Africa, DNA studies suggesting a founding population in Africa, and stone tools and other artifacts are just some of the evidence that supports the Out of Africa Model.
“The scientific study of how humans developed did not begin until the 1800s in Europe. Until that time, people relied on religious explanations of how humans came into existence. Starting in the 1500s a scientific revolution began to sweep Europe. Thinkers started using scientific methods and experiments to try to better understand the world and the creatures living in it. Eventually these methods were turned to the question of human origins” (The Nature Of Human Origins, 1). Earth made it possible for species to change over time because Ancient Earth provides ability to plenty of time. The Homo Sapien a is very complex creature. The species started off very simple by living in caves and surviving with little food and then later evolved into a species that were able to do many more complex things. The first species was Sahelanthropus tchadensis They were one of the most simple humans in that time period and on. They had very small skulls compared to Homo Sapiens today and their motor skills were just the same. We have evolved and changed for the better both mentally and physically. The Evolution of Homo Sapiens started off simple, such as the Neanderthals, and now we are the most advanced species to ever walk the planet so far.
Two seconds, that’s all it takes to change a game of hockey. As a student that grew up in Pittsburgh, I have loved hockey since I was little. It is a sport that makes me lose track of time. Hockey is captivating because players are practically skating on knives at ridiculous speeds, while holding a stick. At the same time, they are being checked and thrown into the boards. Doing this only to attempt to get a small rubber disk, traveling upwards of one hundred miles per hour, in a net covered by a goaltender.
One of the largest growing sports across North America, from southern California to the outskirts of Nova Scotia, is the game of hockey. With its’ exhilarating speed and action, hockey is rapidly increasing it’s attention to an already global market. Despite rise in popularity in recent years, long existing bias and stereotypes have prevented potential fans from obtaining an appreciation for the game. In reality, hockey is a team sport than can and has been enjoyed by many for roughly 200 years. Issues such as lack of diversity and low-income players are gradually changing, making the game more accessible. Furthermore, hockey is steadily obtaining relevancy across several continents, ensuring the prestige of the game is maintained for many years to come.
