The nintendo 64 is what started the gaming industry. Everyone knows the Nintendo 64 or the N64 is what everyone knows and loves because it is what started some of the biggest game franchises we know. This is because everyone always doubted the N64 even though it was the best console ever. To go over what is in the paper we are going over the history, the legacy left behind, and why was it so special.
The legacy left behind is what I think is one of the most important things.Reason is because without the Nintendo 64 then we would not have some of the big gaming consoles today like the x-box or even the Wii because this one console is what started it all. The legacy that’s most important is that nobody thought that this little machine would sell over 20 million versions worldwide. This is the most important thing because it started out as project reality and turned into the best console ever made by Japan. The first games to go with it are some of the best selling franchises on the market which is super Mario and the legend of Zelda series.

In late 1900’s then they started project reality, what this was is they were going to use the best things you could buy on the market which at the time was the 64. The 64 pieces were what first gave this console it's name three years later the N64 was born. 1970s was considered as the birth of video game industry, the phenomenon of gaming was growing and home gaming console Home-Pong which was a one-game-only console was invented by Atari, since then, the gaming industry has become very profitable, and more and more genre of video games were created.
The result is a new breed of fresh and exciting game genres that people in the early 1980s could only dream about. Video games is a huge industry and it is estimated that 70% of U.S homes will own a Video game system by the year 2005 (Cassandra, 2002). The idea of making a video game first appeared in 1949 when a young engineer named Ralph Baer was given an assignment to build the absolute, best of all televisions. He wanted to go beyond his original assignment and incorporate some kind of game into the set but it would take another 20 years for his idea to become a reality.
Inventing the ENIAC was a long and tedious process. The idea of creating a thing like the ENIAC came up in 1939, when John Mauchly and John Atanasoff met together to discuss it. It wasn't until 1942 when the blueprints were made by Mauchly and his new accomplice, J. Presper Eckert. Later that year the US government funded project ENIAC, with a budget of $500,000 (penn). Not much information of ENIAC was recorded from the process. The massive computer was not given coolers until 1945, when it caught fire. Finally, on February 14, 1946, it was announced to the public. The ENIAC did not get its rightful recognition until 1996, on the fiftieth anniversary. The entire process took about 5 years, and at the end they didn't even get proper respect for it.
