Introduction: Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a personality disorder that is characterized by intense emotions, unstable interpersonal relationships, and fear of abandonment, but can be a lot more complex when shown to be untreated within a young adult's life. Scott took them to the hospital and Ray accompanied him an hour later to push him to emergency care. They met Scott’s mom in the hospital during her shift, and after taking off their shirts due to being covered in blood, she sees his tattooed back that he has let Scott do. Emotionally, she accepts both back into her life and the movie ends. Analysis of the character and proposed diagnosis Scott Carlin, as portrayed by Pete Davidson, is a complex character whose behavior and physical symptoms suggest a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Though it is not specifically stated throughout the film, Scott does suffer from a specific psychological disorder, his impulsive behavior, fear of abandonment, lack of emotional regulation, chronic sense of emptiness, and unstable interpersonal relationships represent untreated BPD symptoms. Scott struggles to find his purpose due to the death of his father when he was 7 years old.
