The show is still a blast today.
Over 40 years after it's inception, it provides us with a line of Scooby Doo toys, movies and an assortment of very popular Halloween costumes.
The haunting of a house dates back thousands of years. Folklore says when a person would die a tragic death their spirit would move on. The telling of a ghost story entails more than the text itself. Lighting, environment, tone of voice, and many other factors affect how well a ghost story is told. As one can see by reading the following story, simply reading a ghost story on paper does not have the same effect as hearing it performed by the teller in a fitting atmosphere. The following story was told one night in a dark, shadowy room filled with five or six college guys. The teller used long pauses, emphasis on certain words, and body gestures to make the story all the more believable and chilling.
Although Carpenter has said that this was not intentional. Halloween made the audience experience fear and terror throughout as the suspenseful stalkings and killings are seen from the point of the killer’s eyes, a few times looking through the mask, this makes us as an audience feel more involved in the film and therefore feel more fear towards the people getting chased/killed. Other scenes are viewed through the eyes of the characters in danger or by heavy breathing of Michael Myers, this builds suspense for us a viewer and we wonder what will happen next when we most expect it. Almost every scene is filmed with the camera consistently moving around to make the audience feel disordered, totally insecure, unsettled and paranoid, believing that every looming corner, shadow, noise, or shape is potentially life

In the slasher movie Halloween I reviewed, many techniques were used that made the movie suspenseful to watch, such as the use of music, back lighting, hand held camera movement and point of view shots.

Boleyn was the mother of Queen Elizabeth I and the second in a whole series of wives by King Henry VIII. She was executed after being tried and found guilty of a whole slew of charges.
