We as humans tend to create our own perspectives of countless things in life that can be considered right to have or can be considered wrong. Some are more prone to have open-minded perspectives, while others can be very close-minded. To live in a world in which diversity surrounds us I think it is important to understand what makes us all different by our beliefs, values, and goals. Considering the fact we are all unique and different, our culture has a great impact of who we all are. To learn at an early age is of course the beginning of it all. Parents, idols, teachers, and leaders can create these children to have such beliefs with stereotypes in which soak up in their sponge-like minds and are hard to break from at times. Children should be surrounded by the mindset that equality matters. I feel like to be proactive and to speak up is a big changing agent. Another factor is the factor of the community that is around. The attitudes and behaviors that the community holds produce dramatic change for the environment of the people and of course their mindsets. Lastly, to commit to change people must be aware of these biases and how they control the way people treat one another. Which in that case no Muslim will deny it for due to the Qur’an quoting it; it would be against religious authority to do so. For all mankind this is important to maintain to follow because the final destination and will of God is promoted. However, Islam isn’t forced upon its principle to non-believers, those who believe will believe. Though arguments will be made of this but the majority will claim this to be true. And for society to believe and accept people of this culture more I think it is wise to learn about. We propose to analyze Islam 's ideational relation in three stages: that which pertains to Judaism and Christianity, that which pertains to the other religions, and that which pertains to religion as such and hence to all humans, whether they belong to any or no religion. It shouldn’t be our job to judged others and believe that others are bad based on ignorant views. We should love one another and realize that no faith, race, or gender is superior to the other. We learn from one another and grow and create great things harmoniously without stereotypes. To have equality and true equality with each other we must be educate on things we do not know before placing pre dispositions. It’s time to be equal and take a stand for
Every individual in society and in a community is unique in their own ways, and their diversity shows up in many ways. Some of these ways include: religion, race, socioeconomic status, lifestyle, and so on. Everyone’s backgrounds are different, and this is what creates diversity in people. Even though everyone might not be the same, only by uniting everyone can we create the big picture. It’s like a puzzle—even though people are different, we can come together to create a big picture that couldn’t be created by puzzle pieces of the same shape. To me, diversity symbolizes the unique backgrounds that we come from. Every individual in their communities and in their society are influenced by their background—and this can come from various reasons. If someone comes from a different socioeconomic background, or lifestyle, their thought processes and their view of life might be much more different than mine. Their reaction to a certain situation can be much more different than mine, and it is important for me to see all these viewpoints in order to be a more informed member of my community. Everyone is diverse in their expression, style, and
Islam, a religion of people submitting to one God, seeking peace and a way of life without sin, is always misunderstood throughout the world. What some consider act of bigotry, others believe it to be the lack of education and wrong portrayal of events in media; however, one cannot not justify the so little knowledge that America and Americans have about Islam and Muslims. Historically there are have been myths, many attacks on Islam and much confusion between Islam as a religion and Middle Easter culture that is always associated with it. This paper is meant to dispel, or rather educate about the big issues that plague people’s minds with false ideas and this will only be touching the surface.

Many nurses treat each patient as they want to be treated and while this is the golden rule it is not always the best course of action when working with those who are of a different culture or faith. The following information is given to open an eye to the culture of Islam, an overview of the basic pillars and behaviors a nurse or medical staff could see or hear. When those in the healthcare setting have a good basic understanding of a culture it will become easier to treat the person as a whole, and to understand how to care for the patient and the family.
Cultural diversity is something that mankind has experienced since the dawn of time. Different cultures and different people have different views on the same issues, and it all adds to the diversity that is life. It shows that there is something for everybody. For the most part, there is no one person saying that everyone has to be this or follow that. A person's culture is determined on how they are brought up, what country they live in, how their parents were raised, and what the people around them do and believe in. The differences in culture is what caused people of later time to believe in more that one God, something that, for the most part, is unheard of today. It lead to Feudalism and the divine right to the throne. Different people are brought up to think different things, and the things people learn as a child stick with them forever. Culture is also based on choice, and every person has the choice to do whatever makes them happy. So much is know about culture now because it has been recorded in books such as Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and The Nibelungenlied. Three different books displaying cultural views from three different time periods. And it is with works like these that modern scholars and historians can examine what the people and times were like back then.

Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world but it is still one of the most misunderstood religion by many. The Non-Muslims who are unfamiliar with the faith tend to have misunderstandings about its concepts and teachings. These misconceptions misguide Non-Muslims from learning what Islam really is about. Islam simply means submission to God and peace, but many believe that it promotes terrorism, oppression of Muslim women, and that the religion has too many restrictions.
Many people fall victim to stereotypes regarding different people and religions. The intent is not to judge others, but exposure and stories unfortunately compel one to do so. News coverage, articles, and even music brainwash the public, forcing people to think a certain way about specific subjects. This leads to assumptions, half-truths, and stereotypes when a story is passed on from one to another. The power of stories is strong, and hearing only one concerning people or a nation leads to ignorance. Therefore, one should open his mind and expand his horizons to have an all-round understanding before making a final judgment.
The idea of of a misconception is a mistaken view, opinion, or attitude towards another individual or various cliques. For instance, if there was a group of people who associated themselves with actions that can be perceived as vulgar then that group will be seen as amateurish or careless, and in that case forever be labelled by others in that way. An example of what a misconception is would most likely familiarise with the lack of factual understandings, such as a group whom is labelled as rude just a stereotype given to the group, but a leading misconception would be that the entire group of people is in fact rude. The statement could not be correct because it is not possible to know if the entire group is rude, therefore it is commonly called a misconception. Both stereotypes and misconceptions can be harmful to others or beneficial, but most of them are not as beneficial as they are harmful which not only affects the person or clique, but can also affect those surrounding by making assumptions before finding the actual character of the person or persons being afflicted with this labeling. Many presume that generalizing people is a way of

On the board on Monday morning, there were numbers one through five and they each had a religion written next to them. 1 was Hinduism, 2 was Christianity, 3 was Judaism, 4 was Buddhism, and I was lucky enough to get 5: Islam. Oh, I know so much about Islam culture and their religion, are you kidding? I don’t even know where Islam is. I’m just kidding, it’s not a country. There are many differences between Islam and the United states like our religion, clothes, and food, and becoming a Christian or a Muslim, but Islam is the second largest religion in the world, so it’s important to a lot of people. The followers of Islam are called Muslims. Becoming a Muslim is not an easy process. You must do a long list of tasks. After you become a Muslim you must do everything in your power to try to have a good Muslim lifestyle.
Perspective is a crucial aspect of anthropology, the study of humankind and the different aspects that affect human nature. There are four main subfields of anthropology that allow anthropologists to analyze different areas of human behavior. These subfields are as follows: biological or physical anthropology, archaeology, cultural or social anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. Each area of study is equally important and is able to be integrated into one idea that looks at the whole picture rather than the individual parts (“What is Anthropology?”). This idea of looking at the complete picture rather than just the smaller “constituents” is a holistic approach to anthropology (Peters-Golden 17). A variety of elements can affect a person’s
...al to have an open mind to be able to gain insight toward learning new information and to gain new perspectives toward the other culture. Every group of people or country has their own issues that can impact its cultural beliefs, values, and attitudes. If a person has not had to face oppression, understanding how to relate to another person can be challenging. A person’s positions will impact his or her interests toward resolving issues. The expectations about others will affect everyday relationships. We all make mistakes, but minimizing conclusions and stereotypes will help to gain the trust of the other person.
