I chose an image of a christmas tree from the 1940s as my first Primary source because of how fabricated Christmas has become has turned it into a ridiculed tradition which relates to the idiotic tradition that takes place in “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson. The main symbol of Christmas is the christmas tree which is well known by all. Although the holiday of Christmas is not to be ridiculed the fact is this holiday is not about jesus or his birth in the slightest anymore, the majority of people who celebrate christmas are only interested in the gifts, the music, santa clause, etc. Most people do not even celebrate Christmas for its true meaning and for that reasoning I view Christmas as a degraded holiday. I feel the meaning behind the christmas

Every year, my parents add a little more to the outside decorations. My mom, sisters, our children and myself decorate the inside of the house. My mom has so many indoor decorations that they can not all possibly be displayed. We try to change the decorations, which we put out every year. The men finish up just about the same time as, we women and then it is time to decorate the tree together. The children love this the most.
Growing up I was always a family boy who loved holidays like Christmas; not only because it was the birth of Jesus Christ, but of course because it meant presents. My parents spoiled me and the fact that my biological parents were separated meant that I had two Christmas’s, so of course I always wanted tons of gifts when that time came around. I would put ridiculously expensive things at the time on my Christmas list like a Play Station 3, an iPhone 3GS, a $200 skateboard, and many other things that I knew my parents couldn 't afford, but somehow managed to appear under the Christmas tree. Every year it was something new, something bigger and better that I just had to have.
Christmas is one of the exciting holidays of the year and if you look in terms of gifts, is the most beautiful and awaited celebration.
Wood is the most versatile and abundant building material in the world. There are two different types of woods; softwood and hardwood. Softwood comes from conifer trees, which are trees that don’t lose their leaves in the fall. Hardwood comes from deciduous trees, which are trees that lose their leaves in the fall. Wood has two big draw backs warping and rotting. Wood is prone to warp if it is not stored in constant humidity. Wood will rot if water gets into the wood. For wood to be structurally sound it cannot be rotten or warped. Wood has multiple causes, and if it is not solved, the effects could be dire.
Ever since I could remember, I have spent Christmas at my grandmother’s house, a house which is full of comfort, warmth, and happiness. At Christmas, I have always been able to escape the cold and dark real world allowing myself to truly enjoy just several moments in time. These moments have left impressionable memories from my childhood making Christmas a holiday that is special to me and my family. It is a time for my family to get together, share stories, laugh, and even cry.
Every mother knows the joy of the holidays starts with holiday cleaning, right? NOT. After holiday cleaning is more like it. Who can stand to decorate, bringing out all that merry stuff, while the house is already cluttered? The children, perhaps, but not me.
