Once we hear from God then we can begin to walk with God, as he is the Shepherd and he would lead the way for our lives. Then you would know what it means to walk with God. The only way we can know the heart of God is to do errands for him. His promptings would be our errands to do, and as we do his will, he shows us how he cares for the people who seek him and asked for his help. When you hear from God, you are his messenger of hope. Hearers are required to spend the time and money and whatever knowledge they possess to help those wounded and in need. Following God’s instructions and his commandments, means to trust and obey and then move with him. Those who finds God finds life and receives blessings from him. And what are his blessings, he makes us a partner in his kingdom work and he gives us the opportunity to serve him when he calls. You are certainly his sheep when you can hear his voice, and to ensure your hearing is truly of him, the answering of a call will authenticate the purpose. If you want a more satisfying walk with God then you should try what I say. Your life would be a victory as you walk with God. This then is having …show more content…
God is a decisive God who does not waver between two decisions, God is able to make hard decision unlike man. I tell you this because I have received his chastisement and it was not kind or gentle; it was deep pain. Yet, God was just in his dealings with me. This is not theology, it's an encounter with the real God who disciplines those he calls son. The chastisement to me was not good. In fact I call that evil but I know I deserved that. It was a prophecy I should not have given but I did out of my own presumption not considering the consequences of the statement made, and God had to punish me for
Chastisement or punishment can be performed in various forms that can produce in a variety of consequences. In J.B., the sudden punishment of God on J.B has caused a commotion in his family physically and mentally. Nevertheless, J.B’s faith does not die and he also continues to fulfill his responsibility as a “puppet” in a play created by God. After the death of his five children, J.B is placid and not abhorring God for his punishment. “God will not punish without cause, God is just.”, said J.B (109). J.B knows that there must be a reason for God to punish him, because God always acts impartially. Ev...
I grew up in a home with a family that attend church weekly and was active in the church family. I knew about God and about His son but I never remember the story of salvation and the personal need for a savoir. As a teenager I walked away from the religion that I thought did not offer my anything. In my thirties, my husband was diagnosed with cancer and I immediately started my negotiations with God. Little did I know that He was not a negotiator but it was during this time in my life that I needed God more than He needed me. Since accepting the gift of God’s love, the salvation of a Savoir, and the renovation of my heart, I look to God for the path of my life. I share Gods truth through my career change to a Christian nob-profit that’s vision is to share God’s love to the community through the platform of pregnancy care and family services. Personally I have fulfilled God’s call to help the less fortunate by adopting a sibling group and participating and supporting mission trips to third world countries to support his children and missions there. My final piece of God’s plan I feel lead to complete is to volunteer my professional expertise and finances to work with a mission group that provides laboratory services to third world mission hospitals. I have done one trip for them and am currently planning a trip to Honduras in the new year. My day to
Throughout Exodus, he shows his consistent love for the Israelites when he continues to help them after they have disobeyed. Because God is both eternal and good this is the best thing anyone could possibly want. Therefore anyone who doesn’t want god doesn’t really know what the good life is. His use of violence to correct those who are falling of the straight and narrow line is in no way to hurt them. But is used to remind them of how to get to the good life they desire. It seems as if god posits that if you love me and do what I tell you, everything will be fine and I 'll give you eternal life. But if you don 't, I 'll have to destroy you. However, it should be seen as I will do whatever I can do in my power to guide you to the good
In Judaism, God is seen as having a contractual relationship with the Jewish people where they must obey his holy laws in return for their status of the chosen people. God rewards or punishes Jewish people based on whether they obey or disobey his will. In parts of the Old Testament, however, God does show mercy or forgiveness, and in later interpretations God’s laws such as the Ten Commandments are followed

God rewards or punishes Jewish people based on whether they obey or disobey his will. We have been counseled heretofore by prophets of old, "to seek learning, even by study, and by faith". We have an obligation to search the scriptures and to learn what the Lord is teaching us and warning us of. We must go forward with faith, and not backward. We must come unto the Lord, and not expect the Lord to come unto us.
Starting back at the very beginning of this process is the most dangerous aspect of this entire process we follow to gain a worldview. In today’s society there is a variety of versions of “God.” Depending on which God you believe in, your community and culture could be very far fetched from what the truth is. The overlying theme behind every formation that coincides with any worldview can be asked in one question. What is the purpose of my life? As Christians, we should be involved in society’s version of “popular culture.” We are called in the Bible to be the salt of the world, as the salt we shouldn’t be merely consuming the culture in which we live in, we should be part of it, adding everything we can.
...hat share my faith and together worship Jesus. I believe that by being in fellowship with other believers I will have a strong opportunity to pursue and fulfill God’s purpose in my life, whether it is a daily or lifetime calling.
God and the Bible’s teachings are used as a framework to find meaning in life and purpose of human presence. Purpose resides in every human’s potential to strive for peace, seek equality, nurture relationships and the environment to achieve harmony with the earth (Valk, 2012). “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior and my hope is in you all day long” (Ps 25:5). The Holy Spirit, known as God’s active force and His power in action (Lk 1:35), is used as a guide by Christians to ascertain and determine what is right. “We choose to act based on good thinking, scripture and prayer, and the Holy Spirit helps us discern the right alternatives” (Shelly & Miller, 2006, p. 89). In seeing others as the image of God, choosing what is right from wrong is influenced by beliefs cultural background and respect for one another. In this religious culture, the tendency to do wrong is seen as sinfulness. However, it is the admission of sin that leads Christians to Jesus Christ to find and experience God’s forgiveness (Shelly & Miller, 2006). The recognition of sin and eventual redemption strengthens the relationship with God which directs a life of service to humanity (Shelly & Miller,
As I mentioned before in the first paragraph, there is no other role than being the creator of this world for God. God has no power over us to dictate our decisions in life or the ability to punish us for doing the wrong thing. As creatures made from nature, our morality has helped us decide what is wrong and right. We have conducted ourselves by this sense of morality so that we could be independent with our lives. We have chosen what to do with those who have done bad things and as well as how to reward ourselves when we make the right choice. The holy books are like propaganda from a tyrant who wants everyone to believe that there is only one way to live and that is his way. If the laws of the holy books are broken, then anyone who breaks them gets punished. He is known to have an invisible hand that pushes people to believe that it is a necessity to follow his Ten Commandments. However, I don’t believe that he even has that power. If we break a leg, lose a job, or get sick, then those outcomes have a rational reason. As well as when good things happen, for example, when we get a good grade, a promotion, or when two people get married. All these outcomes are from the decisions that we take. There has never been a day when God has actually visibly rewarded me or punished me. It all has to do with what we view as what is good and bad for us. Natural law and Deism go along with my beliefs and world view.
God knows a little—more like a lot about forgiveness. One could say that He’s the expert on forgiving. He forgives us on a daily basis for the many ways we are disobedient to His commands, His will for our lives, for our rebellion and for our unforgiving and judgmental attitudes toward others. Think about what would happen if God did not forgive us. What would our lives be like if He held a grudge against us for taking for granted the fact that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us? To me, this is unfathomable. Thankfully, He is a gracious God and does not hold this against us. He gives us heaping helpings of love and forgives us for taking His gift for granted. The most amazing thing is that He forgives us when we are ungrateful
For any Christian, one of the most important questions a person can ever answer is, “How does a Believer know that they are for sure a Christian?” All Believers needs to have the assurance of their salvation. Finding the answer to this question brings confidence and contentment to the Believer’s life. Sadly, many people live their lives never really having an answer to this question. However, the Word of God is the starting point to find this assurance.
