What is the definition of volunteering? Volunteering is when a person freely does something, such as a task. It could also be something someone does in their free time or just to get out and learn some new things. Volunteering could have a positive or negative outcome, especially if the person or the individual, community, or place that person is helping gain something from it. Volunteering is not something people have to do but it could be helpful in the long run. Volunteering could change someone’s behavior and attitude. It could even change how some people may think about certain situations. Volunteering could help someone support others, it could even help you gain new skills such as organization skills, and empathy. As said above volunteering could be where a person meets new people and connect with others. It could also help those who volunteer learn new things about society and what is around them. Volunteering could also make a difference on a person who volunteers by helping them gain new skills. Lastly, volunteering could make a difference in the place where the person is volunteering, and it could even make a difference on the person who volunteered in general. Either if it was a positive or negative outcome the person still may have learned something.
